A stunning fusion wedding over two days, with the traditional English wedding on day one followed by a spectacular Hindu wedding ceremony on day two! The soft tones and romantic lighting of the traditional English day were a complete contrast to the vibrant bright colourful celebration that followed. And of course, two wedding days meant two outfits for our bride and groom and they looked amazing in both! A Suzanne Neville wedding dress was the first outfit for the bride followed by an amazing red and gold detailed traditional Indian wedding dress for celebration number two! Bright wedding flowers, Hindu wedding traditions and two families and cultures coming together made this day (or two!) one to remember!
Kejal & Matt ensured they represented both their heritages by having a fabulous fusion rustic Indian country wedding at The Green in Cornwall.
First up was their humanist ceremony in a barn with bunting and fairy lights, followed by a traditional Indian ceremony under a beautifully decorated mandap. All culminating in a rustic reception full of giant balloons, and Kejal’s wonderful stationery.
Paramount throughout is the couples love for one another, so get ready to swoon, you’re going to love it!
My favourite part of my own wedding day was saying my vows during the ceremony, so I am a little jealous that bride & groom Alex & Anesh got to say their vows twice during their beautiful humanist and Hindu ceremonies, not to mention double the gorgeous outfits.
Amruta and Aneesh held their gorgeous, vibrant wedding at Poundon House in Oxfordshire, a venue that really does have it all. A beautiful house in which to get ready, stunning gardens that can be used for your wedding ceremony (like this gorgeous pair did) and lots of space for a marquee.
Amruta had two outfits for the day, her gorgeous traditional ceremony outfit and then a fabulous pinky coral sari for the reception – she looks breathtaking in both. The henna designs she’s sporting are incredible too, some of the loveliest henna work I’ve seen! Images come from Matt Penberthy who, as always, has captured everything in such an authentic way.
This is one of the loveliest Hindu weddings I’ve had the pleasure of sharing, Uma looks absolutely beautiful in her rose gold sari, set off with a gorgeous kohl eye and lots of gold jewellery.
In true RMW style, Uma and Dee did things their way, keeping their ceremony and reception to just one day, rather than over several days as per tradition. And what a day it was! Every moment has been captured perfectly by Matt Penberthy.
Destination weddings don’t come much more perfect than this one – Lavinia and Sav had THE dream Italian wedding and it’s most definitely one of those weddings that we wish we could have attended…
The attention to detail with the decor and styling is just impeccable – think nude and peachy tones combined with metallic accents, a stunning mix of peonies and roses, elegant candelabras, the most gorgeous lace gown, and just wait until you see the escort cards – Lavinia wrote every guests name on a label, attached them to vintage keys and then used peach and lace ribbon to hang them all from a tree in the courtyard of the castle. It just looks so lovely!
We love a happy ending too, and we’re pleased to report that this gorgeous couple have added a baby and a dog to their family. Lavinia blogs at Dream Big, Little Girl if you fancy a snoop at her family and also a look at the Hindi part of their wedding 🙂
From the English ceremony mantle piece to the Indian altar, and not forgetting the gorgeous top table arrangement, your eyes are going to be dazzled by the mix of peonies, roses, ranunculus, stocks and eucalyptus.
Bride Riya looks unbelievably gorgeous in both her gowns too, meaning there’s double the inspiration, and Groom Rich looking equally dapper in his attire enters in the most fabulous way.
RMW fave Lemonade Pictures has captured all the pretty, all the love and both elements of this fusion wedding perfectly. Enjoy.
