You’ll be forgiven for thinking we’ve taken you back in time at this lovely vintage wedding. Bride Grace is an absolute siren in a sumptuous satin and lace gown, and groom Mat looks dashing in a three piece suit. Plus the deep burgundy hue of the bridesmaid dresses are absolutely delicious.
The Asylum and Town Hall Hotel ceremony and reception venues couldn’t be more perfect to host the timeless day. Filled with atmospheric candle light, greenery and gorgeous florals, as well as tender moments, love and smiles, all captured to perfection by Kevin Fern Photography.
The emotion of this city wedding really shines through all the pictures captured by David Jenkins Photography. Everybody is full of smiles and having a good time, non more so than our gorgeous bride and groom Goldie & Rick.
Rick’s face literally says it all the moment Goldie enters The Asylum ceremony in her breathtaking lace Inbal Dror gown, there is no denying how absolutely jaw dropping-ly beautiful she looks, plus her face equally lights up as they say their vows at the iconic and atmospheric altar filled with church candles.
The opening picture of our gorgeous couples stood by the iconic HOT marquee letters of industrial venue MC Motors in London, pretty much sums up this stylish wedding perfectly.
The bride and groom both look effortlessly chic in their wedding attire. Gorgeous Danielle opting for a sparkly Houghton gown that twinkles perfectly amongst all the romantic candle light of The Asylums altar, and those killer Sophia Webster flamingo heels are utterly fabulous.
All the details are crazy good, and the photography by Nicola Thompson really encapsulates the epicness of this urban wedding.
There is something so magical about autumnal light that gets us every time. Especially when you see it flooding through the beautiful stain glass windows of The Asylum in London. What a heady combination.
Also making us feel all fuzzy inside is Bride Cat who looks an absolute vision in her Charlie Brear gown, and like me I’m certain you will have serious hair envy for her cute tousled ponytail. Also pretty swoon worthy are her best girls dressed in adorable mis-match blush separates from Reiss.
Such a relaxed, laid back wedding in the city that screams style. Wait until you see the DIY copper spray painted vases too, all captured beautifully by Haywood Jones Photography.
I really do love a bride that embraces Autumn and all that the season has to offer up in terms of colours and florals and Fay and Chris’ wedding does this in spades. The pair said their vows in the super atmospheric and oh so beautiful Asylum in London which they decked out in heaps of candles and a heart shaped wreath above the altar. I know flipping epic!
I love Fay’s golden hued bouquet too complete with raspberries which complements her Eden Jenny Packham gown perfectly. And then there are her gorgeous maids in metallics and Chris’ boys in burgundy with a spot of kilt action. This is the first time where I’ve heard of a wedding sing-a-long as well but by heck what a brilliant idea; surely every wedding should have one.
All the excitement and gorgeous detailing was captured by the very talented Chris Barber
I literally adore the raw beauty of the Asylum in London. It’s rugged paintwork, exposed brick and stain glass windows bring SO much character and charm to a wedding ceremony and the abundance of church candles placed at the altar are the perfect finishing touches to soften the mood of this fabulous urban venue.
There is a black and white image of the Groom sitting at the altar waiting for his Bride staring off into space with a slight smile on his face that literally made me sigh as I can only imagine all the lovely things he must be thinking. As I continued through the images and saw the beam on his face when his Bride did arrive I think my heart skipped a beat! I absolutely delight in perfectly captured moments like these, and take my hat off to the super talented Mister Phill for making me grin like a Cheshire cat alongside them. I challenge you to not feel the same… you just can’t! A simply adorable couple having the time of their lives on their wedding day.
If you are looking for alternative wedding venue then The Asylum might just be what you are looking for. I love this venue in Peckham – it’s beautiful in its own special way and Sophie sums it up perfectly in her report when she says “The space is incredible with so much natural light bringing out the beautiful palette of colours in the old worn out walls.”
