Can we take a virtual tour of Bawtry Hall?

How long can you provisionally hold a date for us?

Once you’ve been for a show-round, we can provisionally hold a date for you for 14-days. If we haven’t had any other interest in that date by the end of the 14-days we can extend the provisional booking for you, but if we do have other interest in the date then we will ask you whether you would like to book or release the date.

What deposit do I have to pay when I confirm a date?

The deposit amount will be 20% of the total estimated event invoice. The deposit amount will be deducted from your final event invoice. We will invoice 50% of the estimated remaining event cost, 6-months prior to your date, and the final invoice will be calculated following your final details meeting, with the final invoice payment due 4-weeks prior to your date. All deposits are non- refundable and non-transferable.

Are you licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies?

All rooms at Bawtry Hall are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies – please contact Doncaster Register Office to check availability on 01302 735 222.

How many guests can we invite for a Civil Wedding Ceremony?

Our largest Suite, the Wesley, holds up to 144 guests for a Civil Ceremony – however, the maximum for a sit-down meal in this suite is 120. We can seat up to 200 guests across our adjacent Wesley & Mayflower Suites.

Do we have to book the registrar separately?

Yes, it is a legal requirement that you contact the Registrar separately and ensure they are available to conduct a Civil Wedding Ceremony on your chosen date.

What is the maximum number of guests we can have for the Wedding Breakfast?

We can seat 120 guests in our Wesley Suite, or up to 200 guests when using the adjoining Mayflower Suite. We can host up to 250 guests for your evening reception.

What time can we arrive at Bawtry Hall on our Wedding Day?

Exclusive hire of Bawtry Hall starts at 11am, unless previously agreed. We ask that all vehicles & other property are collected no later than 9am the following day.

Do you allow children at Bawtry Hall?

Yes, we welcome children, but kindly ask that they are supervised at all times.

What time do we have to finish the party?

In order to conform with our Premises Licence and out of consideration for local residents, all wedding parties must finish by 12 midnight.

Can you recommend any local suppliers?

We are pleased to provide you with a comprehensive contact list with details of local suppliers such as photographers, florists, cake makers etc. on request.

Can my photographer come to the Bawtry Hall before the wedding to look round?

Yes, but please make an appointment prior to arrival.

Can we have fireworks at Bawtry Hall?

Low-noise fireworks only are permitted, pending clearance from air traffic control. This can be discussed directly with your chosen supplier.

Can we launch Chinese lanterns at Bawtry Hall?

Unfortunately we don’t allow Chinese lanterns to be launched as the debris impacts on our local residents and farmland.

Can we have confetti or rose petals at Bawtry Hall?

Confetti and petals are permitted to be thrown in the grounds – we ask that they are natural or bio-degradable.

Can we bring our own caterers to Bawtry Hall?

Bawtry Hall provides excellent catering in-house. If you have a preferred caterer that you wish to use, please speak to the Bawtry Hall team as stipulations will apply.

Can we bring our own wine to Bawtry Hall?

Wine and champagne must be purchased through Bawtry Hall and we don’t offer a corkage service. If there is something specific you would like to offer to your guests which isn’t on our wine list, we will be happy to try and source it on your behalf.

Do you have accommodation at Bawtry Hall?

We don’t have accommodation at Bawtry Hall – accommodation is available at our sister venue, the 4* Crown Hotel, which is a 2-minute walk from the Hall.

Is parking available for our guests?

Parking is available and is based at the rear of Bawtry Hall – please follow signs for the car park.

The staff on the day/night were utterly brilliant! Libby helped keep the day flowing and was approachable at all times. The bar staff and waiters/waitresses were so accommodating and friendly. My sister, the maid of honour, had a brilliant time renaming the bar staff ????????. My Husband was offered a drink to ease his nerves prior to the wedding which really helped. Thank you for this. Many of our guests have commented to say it was the best wedding that they had attended for years which is truly a credit to Bawtry Hall and its team. Thank you for everything!
