FAQS
What support will we have to plan our wedding and on the day itself?
In the months preceding your wedding, our team will be on hand to answer all of your questions and to guide you through your planning journey. You will be invited to planning meetings with a Coordinator. We also have personal experience of many local suppliers and are happy to guide you so, if you are not sure where to start then please, just ask! On the day of the wedding, a Coordinator will be at the barn to welcome your guests and oversee the ceremony before handing over to your caterers. We have been known to literally hold your hand before you go down the aisle if that’s what you need! The Coordinator will remain on site in order to assist you with anything you need and will hand over to an evening supervisor who will be at the barn throughout the evening celebrations, securing the venue after the last guests leave.
Do you have accommodation onsite?
Yes, we have a beautiful 5 bedroom barn conversion situated on the farm, just five minutes from the venue. We offer a three-night stay so the Old Coach House provides a great base for the weekend and a fabulous location for wedding party preparations. We are also able to accommodate camping on the parkland on the night of the wedding (tents may be pitched in advance). Guests may bring their own tents or you may wish to arrange for glamping via an external supplier. If you need further accommodation, we can provide details of other local facilities.
Can we choose our caterer?
Yes, we have a list of approved caterers for you to choose from. They have each been selected based on our first hand experience of them and they represent a variety of styles and formalities of catering. They each hold a five-star hygiene rating and we are confident that they will meet the standard of catering and level of service that we would expect. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate self-catered wedding food with the singular exception of your wedding cake.
Can we supply our own drinks and is there a bar in the evening?
Yes, you are able to supply your own drinks for your post-ceremony reception, wedding breakfast and a toast drink for speeches with no corkage fees! In order to facilitate this, we ask that your caterers serve the drinks for you, ensuring a good level of service for your guests and allowing responsible drinking to be monitored. After the wedding breakfast (around 6pm) the service of your alcohol will come to an end and the in-house bar will open for you and your guests to purchase drinks. The bar is open at no cost to you (you may also choose to open the bar earlier for a small surcharge to cover the cost of staffing).
Do you provide tables and chairs?
Yes, we supply lime washed Chivari chairs for an inside ceremony and rustic trestle tables and Chivari chairs for dining at no additional cost.
