FAQS
Why documentary wedding photography?
I fell in love with documentary photography after our first son was born and I realised that I wanted my own family photos to capture the real version of our life and not just the big moments. Since then I've taken the same approach with wedding photography. Sometimes it's the in-between moments that become the most cherished, especially with the passing of time.
What is included in your packages?
All my packages include: 300-500 digital images with full personal use rights; a beautiful photo film of selected photos from the day; a private, password-protected website where you can view, download and share your photos; all travel expenses within the UK.
What can we expect from a documentary weddinh photographer?
For me, Documentary Wedding Photography means being completely candid and unintrusive. As far as possible I want you to be able to forget I’m there. I make pictures as if I were a guest so that the images you receive reflect how it felt to be part of your wedding day. I won’t pose you, ask you to smile, or move anything. In fact, I actively encourage you to leave things as they are and not tidy up for me, it's all part of the story.
Do you still take family group photos?
Even though I am a documentary wedding photographer I understand there is sometimes still a need for these pictures, but I like to keep them minimal. There is space on the pre-wedding questionnaire for a small number of couple and group shots so you can let me know in advance of the day.
Do you offer a printing or album service?
Your private personalised website will be set up so that you can select and order printed products there. I'm here to help if you are having trouble deciding what would be right for you. You can share your private link with whoever you wish so parents and guests can view and order their own prints too.
