FAQS
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
This question is hard to answer. Colours, shapes, tiny moments, and the often almost unrecognizable little details that hide at the moment or even a venue play a defining role in my style. There are a lot of styles on the market; I wouldn’t limit myself to one category because no matter how we look at it, I have combined techniques over the years, learning something from each and creating my unique visuality. While I’m much more confident of being a journalist-style photographer than interfering in the course of events, I’d instead let events unfold around me and new threads of events interwoven into it, making the already existing moment and experience even more exciting. I’m not into over-setting images and over-retouched images. I love living and capturing raw, real emotions and moments up close.
HOW WILL I GET THE EDITED PHOTOS?
I transfer photos in several different ways. I mostly trust the principal to see how the clients want it. Possible modes include Google Drive, an online personalized, even code-locked gallery or flash drive. It is also possible to hand over a photo album, prints, custom wooden photo box, + flash drive if the client is interested. I'm open to negotiating any further requests in private messages.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE PHOTOS?
It depends on the type of event and the number of photos requested. I usually say 2-3 weeks to be on the safe side, but often I get excited and get it done in a week. Also, it depends on how busy I am at the moment. I will likely finish editing in a few days if it's a few hours-long photoshoots. If it's an emergency, I can do it in a day, but in this case, the price needs to be adjusted. If we are talking about a wedding, I would like to share the highlights within a few days as I know I would be keen to see the photos if I were the client.
HOW MANY PICTURES WILL I GET?
This usually depends on the type and duration of the photoshoot. I specify an approximate quantity in each contract; I'm flexible if my clients want more pictures. In case I have way more pictures than we agreed on, I would still instead share them than hold back a decent amount of excellent-quality photos.
IS THERE A DEPOSIT I NEED TO PAY ?
Yes, a 20% deposit must be paid when the contract is signed. Of course, this varies depending on the subject and the duration of the photograph.
BLACK AND WHITE OR COLOR PHOTOS? WHICH DO YOU PREFER?
I’m one of those photographers who have clear ideas about each scenario, and I know if I prefer to use colours or if the picture gives back more details in black and white. When photographing an event, I often use mixed images of black and white and colour images. In many cases, black-and-white photos are much more emotional and focus on realistically capturing emotions, free of any environmental impact.
