Do you do formal posed photos?
Whilst my style is mostly candid and natural, I appreciate that lots of couples (and often family members) really like to get some posed photos with their nearest and dearest too. I like to keep these fairly natural too, and will often ask that someone is allocated to help round people up so we can whizz through them and keep them fun! When it comes to couples portraits, I'm always on hand to offer guidance but mostly give space for natural, loving moments to shine through.
What if we really don't like having our photos taken?
I totally get it- I’m not a massive fan of it myself! With most of my photos being candid and natural, I tend to float around throughout the day snapping away in the background- you might not even realise I’m there! During any more 'formal' shots (such as couples portraits or group photos) I aim to make them as fun and relaxed as possible so please don’t worry. I also have a video consultation with all of my clients ahead of the big day, so we can talk through any concerns you might have and tackle them together.
How much editing do you do?
I make slight tweaks to my photos, which often includes basic colour correction, tweaking exposure and cropping. I also edit each image in a consistent style so you end up with a lovely cohesive collection of photographs! I tend to stay away from heavy Photoshopping as I genuinely believe people look absolutely beautiful just as they are and like to portray things just as they were on your special day.
Do you do engagement/pre-wedding shoots?
Absolutely! It’s lovely to work with a couple before their big day, and it can be a brilliant opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to get some practice at being photographed. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get a quote over to you.
