HOW DO I CHOOSE A MAKEUP LOOK?
Your wedding makeup look is completely unique to you, so at your trial we can create your tailored look especially for you. You may see a look in a bridal magazine or find something on Instagram you want to recreate. You may find a few images which you want to take elements from. You could have no set idea and this is why a trial is the perfect time for you to meet me, tell me what you like and dislike and we can spend time creating your bespoke look together.
WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING & EXPERIENCE?
I have over 12 years experience in the makeup and beauty industry, including commercial and beauty make-up as well as all aspects of bridal make-up. I have a BA(hons) in makeup artistry meaning I have trained to the highest level and I endeavor to keep and the forefront of the beauty industry making sure I am gaining new skills constantly. I worked for a top brand for 10 years as part of their pro team, and underwent numerous advance training opportunities. I now lecture twice a week on a Makeup degree course between freelancing. Like with any visual art the proof is in the finished article and I am proud that my portfolio of work speaks for itself.
WHAT’S IN YOUR KIT?
Any makeup artist will tell you that their kit is their pride and joy. It takes many years and lots of experience to build a quality kit that suits all occasions. I use high end beauty products and all products and tried and tested before they make it, so you can be sure that they will last the day and photograph beautifully. Bobbi Brown, NARS, MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Chanel, Armani to name a few. I also have a range of cruelty free and vegan brands as I endeavour to create a more sustainable and responsible kit. This is includes: Urban Decay, Too Faced, Trilogy skin care, Pixi by Petra, Kat Von D, Kryolan and Ben Nye and ILLAMASQUA.
I DON’T WANT MY MAKEUP TO LOOK TOO HEAVY
Do not worry! With many years working in the beauty industry I am trained to create many different styles of makeup. I do not believe that there is one look that suits all. Everybody deserves a look tailored to their personal attributes and this is something we will find together. Rest assured your makeup look will be tailored to your specific needs and preferences.
