Yes, in Scotland the license is held by the Registrar, Humanist Celebrant or Interfaith Minister. It is legal to be married in Scotland by a Humanist Celebrant.
What about food and refreshments for Celebrations?
We work with excellent local suppliers and can recommend several caterers depending on what you are seeking for your Wedding. The Studio has kitchen facilities so it is possible to bring your own food or cook together as a group. We can organise a mobile bar or bring your own and pay corkage.
Can you recommend local suppliers?
We have a list of photographers, florists, hair and make up, musicians, caterers, bakers, activities, places to go, restaurants, taxis, etc.
Can we get married outside, the meadow? And is there a covered area if it rains?
Yes, almost all couples who have married at Roulotte Retreat have enjoyed their Ceremony in the wildflower meadow, next to the wildlife pond. There is also a fire pit to sit around in the evening. Other locations are in woodland in front of our authentic Ruby Bowtop, in front of the Roulottes or if it rains there is a covered deck outside The Studio surrounded by Scots Pine trees.
Is Roulotte Retreat child friendly?
Most of our accommodation is for adults in the Roulottes in the wildflower meadow, however we do have Horseshoe Cottage where we welcome children. Please ask for more details.
