FAQS
How do you describe your style?
Our photography style is fun, vibrant, and authentic. We are documentary photographers, and we try to show what a wedding day looks like from a guest's point of view. We ensure that our website showcases only real wedding day shots, no staged photoshoots. It's important for potential clients to envision what they'll get on their wedding day. We pride ourselves on capturing every moment, always photographing from two angles. We are inobtrusive, allowing couples to enjoy their wedding day fully rather than feeling as though they're in a photo shoot. To truly appreciate what a full wedding day looks like through our lens, clients are more than welcome to browse through an entire wedding album rather than just the select images on our website. Just get in touch.
What packages do you offer?
Our approach to wedding photography stems directly from our personal wedding experience. We understand that all you really want is a straightforward booking. Due to this, we have made our packages incredibly transparent, easy to understand and simple to customise to your special day. Our fees can be found in the 'Packages' section. We maintain a clear communication policy with our clients about our charges, ensuring there are no hidden surprises. https://www.storiesofido.com/packages/
What areas do you cover / Do you travel?
While we are based in Yorkshire, we're more than willing to travel the entire United Kingdom and even abroad to capture your big day. Please note there could be additional expenses for weddings located more than 50 miles from LS16. Rest assured, we will be upfront about these costs should you choose to engage our services. An overnight stay may also factor into the additional charges for far-away destinations. Our portfolio is broad and diverse, having covered weddings from the majestic castles of Scotland to the picturesque beaches of Cornwall - we love to travel!
Does every package include both of you?
Yes! As a married duo ourselves, we love the opportunity to capture the big moments of your wedding day from two distinct perspectives. Typically, Jon spends the morning with the groom while Mary accompanies the bride. Our clients often express their delight upon receiving their wedding albums, as they can witness what their partner was doing during pivotal moments, such as the bride getting into her dress. Furthermore, this dual perspective allows us to document significant moments like the bride's entrance from two angles. You can see not only your guests' reactions but also your partner's, capturing more of these unforgettable moments than a single photographer could provide. This unique offering is one of our most appealing features to couples.
Feeling uneasy about being in front of the camera or don't enjoy having your photo taken?
We consider ourselves the perfect photographers for those who typically shy away from the camera. We ensure never to put you in uncomfortable poses. Instead, our focus is on making the process fun as we capture those unforgettable wedding portraits. We utilise a series of prompts designed to help our couples relax, ultimately creating an enjoyable and stress-free photography experience for our couples.
