Can you do vegetarian and/or vegan menus
Here at Kemp and Kemp, we have made quite a name for ourselves when it comes to catering for veggie and vegan weddings. All to do with Karen’s passion for flavour, texture and colour – something which isn’t often prevalent in the ‘veggie option’ offered out by most caterers. Our couples love our veggie and vegan menus so much in fact, we are officially finalists in the V² Friendly Caterer of the Year category at The 1st Vegetarian & Vegan Awards 2020!
Do you cater for Winter Weddings?
Yes and we love to! One of the most exciting things about winter weddings (apart from the excitement of not needing to fret about the weather!) is all the delicious, hearty food you can serve & all the glorious possibilities that the new season’s ingredients can offer. Get thee gone summery salads, raspberry roulades, lemon tarts, welcome hearty braises, warming casseroles, rib sticking puds! It may be cold outside but warm your guests from the inside.
Whats the popular trend for wedding catering this year (2024)?
Couples still want to be massively sociable and less formal so sharing feasts, be it mezze, tapas, antipasti, or a combination continue to be hugely popular which we love as it means we can get really creative, and we simply love seeing loaded sharing boards being delivered to the delighted guests.
What food do you recommend we serve at our Winter Wedding?
We like to think that in winter it’s only polite to indulge. We all want to sit down to a hearty meal and warm up, not stand around picking at small, cold portions of underwhelming food. When you’re planning a winter wonderland wedding you simply can’t ignore the prospect of treating your guests to a classic, quintessentially British roast dinner (with all the trimmings, of course), especially if you’re going festive with your theme! But if you aren’t a fan of the standard ‘meat and veggies’ set menu, we have the answer. Whether you’re serving up in a tipi in a frosty field or hunkering down in a converted barn, our rustic sharing feasts always go down an absolute storm. There’s nothing more joyful than watching your loved ones come together over delicious sharing boards, passing around bowls overflowing with scrumptious sides, delegating an official representative from each table to ceremoniously carve the meat. And the best part? Your sharing menu can be entirely tailored to you to truly create the winter feast of your dreams.
What is your most popular wedding food?
Our 'flattened chicken' has to be the most popular main dish we serve, its super tasty, super impactful and suits everyone's palate. We have been serving it for years with great success.
Can you cope with dietaries like gluten-free
No problem whatsoever.. we adapt all dishes, serve without a fuss or you can even opt for a total GF wedding..
Can I eat anything I like?
Pretty much 'yes' - we don't have set menus (just oodles of great suggestions), but we LOVE to push the boat out and research new and exciting ideas - so bring it on.. just ask us and if we can scale it up for 100 people successfully, we'll do it.
