Where can I get ready?

Upwaltham Barns is full of charm and character, offering rustic elegance for your wedding celebrations. The pretty beamed Jasmine Cottage is yours to hire for the day and night of your wedding. Freshen up on arrival or throughout the day and, of course, spend your first night together as a married couple.

The light-filled East Barn has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the South Downs to one side, and the courtyard to the other. It’s wooden beams and neutral colour tones are the ideal backdrop to say, ‘I do’. Following your romantic ceremony, your guests move out into the flower-filled courtyard to mingle and enjoy a few drinks and canapes. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with our garden Moroccan style snug and contemporary copper topped tables in the Stable Bar. The spacious South Barn is the ideal setting for your reception. The wooden beams, flint stone walls and neutral colour scheme will complement any of your decorations perfectly. The barn has a warm and inviting atmosphere whatever the season, with underfloor heating, candlelit wrought iron candelabras, seated dining for up to 150 guests and plenty of space for evening entertainment. From formal wedding breakfasts to informal barbeques, the South Barn provides the perfect backdrop for treasured memories.
