Oh, the style. This Cefn Tilla Court wedding is giving us elegance, it’s giving us romance, it’s giving us LIFE. Rachel & Kahlid’s gorgeous day was a countryside manor house meets Caribbean vibes, and we love it. Their September wedding consisted of a moody Autumnal styling, mixed with blush colours, deep Burgundy reds and accent golds. It all looks so stylish and perfectly put together! Rachel looks glorious in her Elysee Bridal Dress, with its incredible scooped back and lace trim - it truly fits her like a glove! All the decor was gold; gold candlestick holders, votives, frames and terrariums. The venue was once home to Lord Raglan, so it was very grand and beautiful. I wanted the decor and styling to compliment the venue.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

I absolutely loved every moment of our wedding day, but the most special moment was our vows. The ceremony felt very intimate despite there being 120 guests present. We said our vows in the garden of the venue, next to a beautiful ornamental lake. My cousin Ben sang me down the aisle and played acoustic guitar. The officiant told our love story to our guests which had them laughing and crying. When we said our vows to each other, the clouds parted and the sun shone down on us. It was perfect and it will stay with me forever.

ADVICE

To anyone planning a wedding I would suggest joining a couple of wedding forums, I had some great advice from fellow brides for any questions I had. I found that guests really love the little details you've put into the wedding. We had goody bags for the kids to keep them entertained during dinner and speeches - parents were so grateful for them! We also had an amazing wedding coordinator! If you don’t, just make sure there is someone on hand on the day to deal with suppliers and coordinate guests.

We’re always feeling a black tie moment…

The steel drum band absolutely stole the show. They were a surprise for our guests and I thought they would just play background music during the welcome drinks and canapés, but they were so much fun and had all our guests dancing in the sun. They even hosted a game of limbo for our guests at one point. It was amazing and such a great atmosphere. Definite holiday vibes.
