Ollie Watkins and Ellie Alderson
Ollie Watkins has confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Ellie Alderson in an Instagram post after proposing in Lake Como, Italy on their romantic holiday together. The England striker, 28, who's goal put England in the Euros final 2024 has been in a relationship with interior designer Ellie, also 28, since 2018.
Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen
West Ham's Jarrod Bowen and Dani Dyer announced their engagement in an Instagram post shared on 21st July 2024. The couple have been dating for three years and the England footballer proposed on their summer holiday. The TV personality shares twin one-year-old daughters, Summer and Star, with Bowen.
As usual, we asked the diamond experts at Steven Stone to estimate the value of Dani's ring. The 2-carat oval cut diamond with a yellow gold pave band is worth £25k. According to Steven Stone, 53% of celebs received solitaire rings in 2023.
Emma Roberts and Cody John
Emma Roberts took to Instagram on 16th July to announce her engagement to fellow actor, Cody John. She playfully wrote, “putting this here before my mom tells everyone.” This comes after Emma's mum was the first to confirm her pregnancy via an Instagram comment in 2020. The couple began dating after Emma split from Garrett Hedlund, the father of her child, in 2022.
Zack Stone from UK retailer Steven Stone says, "The sparkler showcases a stunning 3.5-carat round-cut diamond in a solitaire setting. A timeless and popular choice, round-cut diamonds are especially romantic for engagement rings, as their shape symbolises eternal love. I’d estimate Emma’s ring to be worth $140,000."
Deiondra Sanders and Jacquees
Over the 13th and 14th of July, the couple hosted their baby shower but Jacquees had an extra surprise in mind with a proposal. In front of family and friends, including Deiondra's dad NFL legend and head coach, Deion Sanders, Jacquees popped the question. The couple is preparing to welcome their baby boy in August!
Tia Lineker and Harry Agombar
In July 2024, Harry's Instagram published an image of him proposing to his fiancée Tia on a beach in Ibiza. Tia is the daughter of Wayne Lineker whose brother is the BBC pundit, Gary Lineker. Harry is now the manager of a team in Dubai called Arabian Falcons. The 24-year-old model and influencer has been dating Harry, 31, for nine years and the couple share a two-year-old son called Alba.
Marisa Abela and Jamie Bogyo
Best known for her portrayal of Amy Winehouse in the recently released biopic, 'Back to Black', the actress got engaged on Primrose Hill in London - a spot that was loved by the late singer. West End performer, Jamie, shared the happy moment on Instagram, which showed the couple smiling - as well as Maria showcasing her huge engagement ring. Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel
In June 2024, The 1975 frontman Matt Healy popped the question to his girlfriend and model, Gabbriette Bechtel. Taking to her Instagram, Gabriette flaunted a huge and very unique black diamond ring. The ring is a 5-carat black cushion cut diamond with a halo setting and pave band that is estimated to be worth £11,700. The couple sparked dating rumours in September 2023. Healy’s mother, actor Denise Welch, confirmed the couple’s engagement Wednesday morning on the British talk show 'Loose Women'.
Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson
The Married At First Sight UK couple is one of the few to actually stay together. Two years on, Jenna Robinson and Zoe Clifton are more in love than ever and are the only couple from their series still together. But now, Zoe and Jenna are set to walk down the aisle for real after they revealed the news on Instagram!
Jack P Shepherd and Hanni Treweek
Coronation Street star, Jack P Shepherd, has announced his engagement to his long-term girlfriend, Hanni Treweek. The couple spent two weeks in Africa earlier this month visiting Tanzania to go on safari in the Serengeti where Jack proposed before flying to Zanzibar for a luxury beach break. The couple have been together for six years having met when Hanni worked on the soap in the press office.
Huma Abedin and Alex Soros
Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's former longtime aide, and Alex Soros, son of billionaire political activist George Soros, are getting married! The couple announced their engagement on Instagram with a photo of Soros, 38, getting down on one knee in front of 47-year-old Abedin in a scenic location. Soros proposed to Abedin at home in late May after less than a year of dating, according to Vogue.
Phoebe Dynevor and Cameron Fuller
After weeks of speculation, the 'Bridgerton' star officially confirmed her engagement to fellow actor, Cameron Fuller, with the debut of her huge diamond sparkler at the Met Gala 2024. As if debuting her ring wasn't enough, Phoebe also made Met Gala history as the inaugural individual to showcase Victoria Beckham's line at the star-studded event. The ring is a 3-carat oval cut diamond on a yellow gold band that is estimated to be worth £100,000 according to diamond experts from Steven Stone.
Alexa Chung and Tom Sturridge
Alexa Chung and Tom Sturridge confirmed their relationship in July 2022 and also confirmed in April 2024 that the pair are engaged. According to a report from The Sun, "Alexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and she is over the moon. She is in a great place and seems completely head over heels for him."
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan
The happy couple met in Casa Amor last year when they were both contestants on the 2023 series of ‘Love Island’, which they went on to win. Sanam has taken to TikTok to share a video she took before and during their romantic date, which featured a surprise proposal from Kai on a gondola. The engagement ring is a double halo design that is estimated to be worth £5,000.

Just weeks after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, Heartstopper actor Bradley Riches, 22, announced his engagement to boyfriend and theatre director, Scott Johnston. The former ‘X Factor’ star – who has released six studio albums since the show – will marry her girlfriend Emilia Smith in June. In an interview with Fabulous Magazine, the artist revealed that she’s asked Simon Cowell to give her away. The pair have recently grown close since Lucy got in touch with the record executive and television personality ahead of the release of her memoir, ‘Process: Finding My Way Through’. More than two decades after they first met, the R&B singer announced her pregnancy and engagement to the rapper. The pair confirmed the news via Essence magazine, with Ashanti telling the publication that 2024 is: "Such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation."

Gemma Collins announced her engagement to Rami Hawash for the third time after the businessman proposed during their Maldives getaway. Rami Hawash secretly popped the question 14 years after they first found love. Leading diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have taken a close look at the sparkler, revealing everything you need to know.
"Gemma’s sparkler boasts a 3.5 carat oval cut diamond in a solitaire setting, sat on a platinum band. The television personality is in good company as 34% of celebrities chose oval cut stones for their engagement rings in 2023 – including Barbara Palvin and Hailie Jade Mathers.
Celebrities are opting for more traditional styles lately with solitaire settings being the most popular overall. Referring to jewellery set with a single diamond, it’s simplistic, fuss-free and really makes a gemstone or diamond stand out.
Though Gemma has disclosed that she adores her ring – and who wouldn’t – she has revealed that she won’t be wearing it every day. This is likely to be due to the risk of it getting damaged or its high value. After a close look at the sparkler, I’d estimate it to be worth up to as much as £100,000 ($125,000).”

Ella Ding and her partner Guy Palermo got engaged at the end of February after dating for less than a year. Married at First Sight’s Ella Ding is engaged and the proposal is like something literally out of a rom-com. Taking to Instagram on February 24th, Ella revealed how on a morning run Guy, got down on one knee and proposed! The couple also are now married! Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Denis Sulta
Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson has shared news of her engagement to Scottish DJ Denis Sulta in an Instagram post with a picture of an interview question answered by Sulta in Metal magazine, to which she added hearts and a teary-eyed emoji. It read, "What is your best memory looking back at the past year?” the DJ was asked. “The day I proposed to my fiancé Saoirse,” he replied. The actress, who hails from the Maiden City is best known for playing Erin in the hit Channel 4 series, Derry Girls.
Ruby Bhogal and James Stewart
The Great British Bake Off star, 34, announced the happy news on Instagram in January that she is set to marry BBC presenter James Stewart. She also shared the story of Stewart's proposal, which didn't exactly go as planned. Bhogal announced the happy news and shared that she got sick with food poisoning just as Stewart was preparing to pop the question!
