Inspiration

This wedding had a real outdoorsy theme, including a garden ceremony followed by a clear span marquee reception which allowed guests to appreciate the scenery they were surrounded by. With DIY Projects and a doughnut wall, it was a feast not only for the eyes but for the tummies too! With personalised poems from the bridesmaid and wedding speeches that left everyone in tears, the day was an emotional rollercoaster that definitely ended on a high!

What Made Our Day Unique

We aimed to create a striking, super laid back environment where everyone could relax and let loose! We had the privilege of having our wedding at Oli's Uncle & Aunt's enabling friends and family from around the world to gather in one meaningful place. Incorporating particular flowers and foliage was key, as was a delicious informal dinner; food trucks served lobster rolls, ceviche, and authentic tacos! Music was integral; Thom bought the house down on acoustic guitar - friends danced pre-dinner! Riptide kept the dance floor heaving throughout the evening and we finished with Oli's cousin Jess djing until 6 am - bringing Amsterdam to "the Crouch"!! It really was the most amazing party that seemed to never end!!

Clear Span Marquee

The clear span marquee gives the beautiful illusion of being outdoors and provides an abundance of natural light. Decorated with foliage and other DIY projects, it was all hands on deck to make this day chic and stylish. Held at a relative's home, the day was a real family affair with lots of family and friends chipping in and doing their part to make sure the day was one to remember - from DIY wedding stationery to a homemade wedding video! They even turned bridesmaid's jumpsuits into dresses - genius! The Bride looked stunning in a halterneck Rue De Seine wedding dress which was topped off with a Grace Loves Lace veil. A gorgeous day all round!

Inspiration & Styling

Our inspiration came from beautiful Byron bay weddings and their modern ethereal aesthetic. We wanted a clean contemporary 70's feel with lots of glass, hints of gold, and metal that offset all the soft foliage and quirky florals. Long dining tables introduced an informal dining setting, everyone had space to eat, drink, and catch up. The greenhouse style clear span marquee opened up the view of the estuary and everyone was able to take in the beauty of their surroundings.
