Planning

One of the very best things about working at RMW, is being able to share incredible industry talent with you all and today's gorgeous inspiration comes from a planner and stylist we're extremely excited about. We adore Anne's minimal and elegant vision - which she describes as understated urban elegance. The fact that Anne has named her company Hilde after her Grandmother is also just so lovely. Beautiful styling that tells a true love story is what weddings should be about. Anne has gathered an awesome team of creatives to help bring her vision together and I promise you, every aspect is executed to perfection. We're also very proud that you'll find Anne (and Lucy who made the stunning desserts) on our recommended supplier directory, The List. Which happens to be completely relaunching NEXT WEEK. We may have mentioned it a *couple* of times (ahem ok a lot of times) but the fact is our recommended supplier directory has always been full of the very best the wedding industry has to offer - creatives like Anne at Hilde Stories who will help you bring your perfect wedding to life. But for now, I suggest letting this soft, minimal and refined wedding inspiration envelop you, it's all just so beautiful.
{California Light}
Hilde is all about stories. The little everyday ones and the ones so special that they shape who you are together. Like the things that make you feel alive, as individuals and as a couple. I have founded Hilde. with the intention to create weddings full of personal meaning and character, reflecting my couple's stories and values with an aesthetic inspired by a heartfelt sense of undemanding yet refined elegance and considered understatement.
{Treading Lightly}
The design and styling for this shoot is inspired by the stories I share with my husband – by the way we met, the way we got engaged and generally the things that we feel passionate about. ‘California Light’ is inspired by the vibe, light and our road trips under the Californian sun. 'Treading Lightly’ reflects our passion for nature and the simple things whilst on the other hand our love for culture and New York City (which is where we got engaged) provided the inspiration for ‘In October’.
{In October}
Having a bit of a thing for chocolate and 'The Shard’ building in London I wanted a 'non-traditional’ cake that is different and combines the both. The natural autumnal blackberry topped cake is a nod to our favourite season (visually) and me picking berries whenever I get a chance to. The surrounding nature during long walks through our old neighbourhood Hampstead Heath in Autumn inspired the mood, tones and textures in ‘London Autumn’. For me, as a stylist, the most interesting visual concepts grow out of a dualistic approach – merging opposites such as cold and warm, fragile and strong, bright and moody. My approach to planning, design and styling is to keep things simple, meaningful and real.
