Inspiration

The capture of real groom Eliot collapsing to his knees as he sees his bride Purity walking down the aisle at their Devonshire Terrace wedding is priceless. Nataly J Photography you are a genius behind the lens. We love all their couples portraits at St Dunstans in the East too. Not only are they incredibly beautiful, but they are seriously stylish too. Trust us, you won't be able to stop yourself from being filled with joy as you pore over their incredible city wedding. Just wait until you see the rooftop reception with drapes, foliage and ghost chairs. Wow.

What Made Our Day Unique

The beautiful glass terraced venue, a peaceful location within the hustle and bustle of the London city life. We wanted it to have an indoor-outdoor venue, that boasts natural light and created a fun but beautiful atmosphere. This day was unique for us as we managed to gather all 120 of our loved ones, pull them all south of the country and have us all celebrate love for one day together. There was so much love and happiness that day wish we could do it again!

Devonshire Terrace Wedding

If you have never seen a Devonshire Terrace wedding before, then boy oh boy are you in for a treat. It's a little slice of heaven in the centre of London. With a glass roof high over the western courtyard providing shelter whilst you enjoy the outside space. Purity and Eliot decorated it perfectly, opting for white drapes, lush foliage, pampas grass and ghost chairs for a sophisticated look to complement their black-tie attire.

Inspiration & Styling

Our style was lots of greenery, white and opaque, we wanted to bring the beautiful outdoors to our venue. Something we loved is that or venue had these two beautiful trees planted in the terrace which gave us the indoor-outdoor feel and lots of room for nature to be added, the opaque-ness of the glass roof terrace and our ghost chairs, statement white pieces such as the white protea added to my bouquet and white draping across the terrace. Our greatest inspiration was nature and anything that felt timeless or clean.

Favourite Moments

Honestly there's not a a moment of the day I would change. When I walked down the isle and Eliot began crying it was a reminder of how far we have come from being best-friends at 13 to now being 24 and beginning our forever, and on top of that being amongst our people. It couldn't get better.

Advice

The earlier you get things organised the more time you can focus on you and getting that massage or that facial. It's crucial you go into your wedding day relaxed and ready to celebrate and not stressed thinking about whether you remembered to tell your supplier some information. Also, choose wisely who’s in your inner circle, weddings can be stressful even when you plan early there’s still a lot on your mind, you need people that will support you and know what you need when you need it.
