Inspiration

Woolas Barn is a new and exciting Barn wedding venue in Yorkshire. Family run and full of history, rustic character and so many beautiful backdrops for wedding portraits. It has multiple areas to hold your ceremony, reception and lounge area, all of which have been beautifully styled by Emily K Weddings with Edison bulb installations, dessert and grazing tables of dreams and a fabulous lounge area. Add some fierce fashion and fabulous florals and you'll be in wedding heaven. Shall we begin...?

VISION

Chic, modern, yet relaxed inspiration with country inspired moody blooms, textured backgrounds, natural fabrics and gathered, foraged style food. Warm lighting and inviting atmosphere.

RUSTIC, ELEGANT STYLING

The florals from Bloom and Bridal were organic and wild in structure. Each arrangement was foam free, making them eco-friendly as well as absolutely beautiful. The colours and shapes of the bouquets were interesting and captivating. Additional trees and shrubbery from D-Tail Plants were used to fill spaces throughout Woolas Barn which reiterated the Secret Garden styling. The place settings were kept simple with the antique keys again relating to the Secret Garden style. Candles and other decor nestled within the food boards to create more interest and those extra little table details. The styling for the tablescape was all about creating something different, with the food being the focal point but still having those pockets of lovely, interesting details. - Emily K Weddings

EDISON BULB INSTALLATION

Now, how's that for a wedding breakfast table! Complete with Edison bulb installation by Typical Type and more jaw-dropping florals from Bloom and Bridal. The hanging lights create a romantic ambience whilst the couple enjoys their grazing table feast from Baba Ganoush below. Mixing colours and textures with meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, enough to make anyone's mouth water. There were also cocktails by Louisiannas Mobile Bars on hand. Just imagine how fun it would be to create your own signature cocktail for the day. Mine would have to contain all the gin!

BRIDAL FASHION

The bridal look with hair from Lottie Haigh Hair and makeup from Natalie Kate Makeup complemented the dresses from The Aisle. The loose curls for the day look to fit perfectly with the relaxed boho vibe of the Soon Bride dress with natural, dewy makeup. Teamed with a Beespoke Denim Jacket, which really gave an alternative bridal look, casual and relaxed. An evening look with a sleek modern ponytail was created with a beautifully beaded Rosa Clara dress from The Aisle at Ilkley for a more evening, sleek option. The groom's style was a sophisticated three-piece from Jenson and Samuel. An ideal look for a Barn wedding and rum and cigar lounge. - Emily K Weddings

The cake table from The Barn Bakery was a feast for the eyes. Extremely detailed and mouthwatering. It would definitely be a favourite to any dessert loving couple. Cascading and overflowing, a truly inviting and social way to present a dessert table. We've certainly seen some beauts over the years, including this one from our Springtime Romance inspiration feature.
