Inspiration

Autumn has arrived at this wonderful Errol Park wedding and we've been relishing over every last detail. The woodland theme styled by Lemonbox Studios is simply magnificent and complements the exclusive-use venue and estate perfectly. There are cloche's, fairy lights and spray-painted animals, plus adorable wedding signs and natural flowers aplenty. Not to mention the adorable couple who look magnificent in lace and tartan. The perfect attire and decoration for a Scottish wedding.

Styling & Inspiration

Admittedly, I wasn’t ready to completely tackle the ‘yourself’ part of this DIY venue. We hired Lemonbox Studios to bring the vision to life. It was a great decision – they took care of all decorations and I got to enjoy the lead-up without worrying about ladders or moving tables, let alone packing up the following day. We had had a few conversations and they nailed it with their first conceptual designs. They summed the brief up perfectly: Subtle woodland feel, natural greenery, eclectic Scandinavian influences with a rich deep colour scheme. Lemonbox and Myrtle and Bracken completely transformed the place. The flowers were all local – a mix of Di’s spectacular garden in Ayrshire and Errol Park’s own blooms. They carefully wove greenery between candlesticks and glass bottles on the rectangular trestle tables from Virginia’s Vintage Hire. Every single detail was so carefully considered and best of all, reflective of us. They indulged my love of woodland creatures by decorating the tables with stags, squirrels and foxes. We also used some of my favourite Scottish sayings in the signage from Git aff yer heid! to Gie’in it laldy!

Errol Park Wedding

Hannah and Graeme's wedding guests would be forgiven for thinking they were travelling up the driveway to Downtown Abbey when they arrived at their Errol Park wedding. A stately home, set within beautiful countryside making the most beautiful photo opportunities for Caro Weiss. Those woodland shots have got us weak at the knees, as does the reception full of amazing natural decor and details.

Humanist Ceremony

A Humanist ceremony really appealed to us. Our celebrant, Jane Bechtel, was incredible. She had so much energy and was so engaging. Jane worked closely with us to write the ceremony. We loved the flexibility and ability to add plenty of anecdotes and shout-outs to our friends and family.

Hannah and Graeme were nervous about the small chance of rain on their wedding day so they enlisted the help of BrollyBucket with a last-minute umbrella order. Luckily for them, it didn't rain, but they are pleased they had them as a backup. Do you know what you'd do if anything went wrong on your big day? Listen to our Podcast about having a Plan B.
