Essense of Australia Wedding Dress for Romantic Elopement in Croatia

The bride chose a beautiful Essense of Australia wedding dress for this incredibly romantic elopement in Croatia. The couple chose to keep their nuptials incredibly private and personal, meaning they were the only attendees! The elopement was held on the stunning Croatian island of Hvar in a historic church courtyard. Saying their vows in front of a pretty floral moon gate with a violinist playing, the couple then moved to the harbour of the market town for some more couple portraits. Proving that you don't need a lot of guests to have a special wedding, you can really feel the love at this romantic intimate celebration!

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

"Something that made our day unique was eloping in another country. We had to travel by plane and in cars and on boat to get to Hvar. Thankfully all of our belongings and especially our wedding attire made it all in one piece. Our families were not particularly happy that we were eloping but looking back at our wedding day now we wouldn’t have it any other way. we traveled through two countries in a plane, through three countries in a car, and a huge catamaran to an island with my wedding dress in a special bag given by ivory row bridal and nothing needed to be dry cleaned !" - Leeanne & Dejan

Having a short turn around from engagement to the wedding the bride was worried she wouldn't find the perfect dress, but she definitely did! Wearing a delicate lace fitted Essense of Australia dress with a low back, she carried a bouquet of white roses and wore her hair in Hollywood glamour waves, while her groom looked sophisticated in a blue wedding suit and bow tie. The Croatian town made for stunning wedding portraits with the narrow cobbled streets, sea views and the orange rooftops of the market town, Hvar, in the background.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"The inspiration for our wedding was destination glamour. We wanted to choose a destination wedding that would showcase a beautiful city and look beautiful in our photos. We chose Croatia because we wanted to capture the Sea in the background and the history of the city. The red/orange roof buildings were a must in our photos. The brides hair and make up were inspired by Hollywood glamour and we felt like celebrities getting our pictures taken while walking through the streets of Hvar. Everywhere we went while taking photos people would congratulate us, want to take pictures with us, and were cheering through the city." - Leeanne & Dejan
