Move over festoon lights there's a new kid in town; the Edison lights. They frame this industrial shoot, paying homeage to Manchester beautifully. As does the use of concrete, metals and reclaimed wood together with geometric shapes, marble effect cakes and luxury fabrics, and finishes. The nostalgia, meets modern concept was planned and styled to perfection by The Urban Wedding Company who did an excellent job of subtly celebrating Manchester's history, as well as including lots of wedding themes trending now. Kerry of 2 Ducks Galleries captured all the genius, including those epic lights, and it's nothing short of spectacular. Enjoy.

Zoe O'Brian the Stylist: We encourage our couples to express their personality throughout their wedding day. For The Urban Wedding Company a large part of our personality as a company is Manchester. So it only seemed right for our first styled shoot to be all about Manchester and showcase some of it's finest wedding suppliers. We wanted to celebrate the new and old of Manchester and show couples how to mix the two to create a modern style full of meaning and character. We did this by including industrial material like, concrete, metals and reclaimed wood paired with a mix of metallic colours to give them a modern feel. We also added some luxury, warmth and contrast to the these materials by adding velvet, which is set to be a huge 2018 trend. These materials give a nod to the industrial history of Manchester, so we added some small gold worker bee’s throughout to really emphasise the Manchester theme. This was done in a subtle way so as not to over power the design. Again, as a nod towards Manchester history we used cotton throughout the floral displays and bouquets. This also followed theme with the building we used for the shoot, Victoria Warehouse was used as a Cotton warehouse. Cotton is becoming a more popular choice to add to wedding flowers, so this not only added a modern touch it still has its historical meaning.
