Inspiration

Holding a garden wedding in your own home means you get to create your very own bespoke venue. Together with their family and friends Niamh and Alex grafted for a full week to set up the most beautiful setting for their big day, and by golly was it worth it. The wedding was photographed by our very own List members, The Georges who really captured the vibe of the day. Let me also say there are some excellent frocks on show here not just from the bride and her girls but also the guests too!

THE VIBE OF OUR DAY

"We would best describe the look we were going for as ‘English Garden Party’, we didn’t want the day to look too themed but we definitely wanted a coherent style and colour palette running through the day. We kept to neutral, soft colours; lots of white, varying greens, pale greys and touches of gold. The traditional pole tent marquee, lawn games, props, elderflower drinks and Pimms jelly all helped to tie the overall feel together. We used lots of fairy lights and festoon lights both in the garden and marquee, so the garden party look continued into the evening. " - Niamh & Alex

Garden Wedding

You can't have a garden wedding without epic florals, which this wedding delivers in bucket loads. Niamh and Alex were married in the church across the road and  were easily able to transfer the blooms from one venue to another. A great tip for getting the most out of your wedding budget!

MUSIC AND READINGS

Music was a big part of the day and we received a lot of compliments from our guests about the musicians we had chosen. The violinist in the church was brilliant, walking down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon on the violin was a dream moment for me. Our band the Ashmore Brothers were awesome they played an acoustic set in the day and then switched up the vibe to create one amazing party for us in the evening. We also created a playlist for the wedding breakfast and entered the marquee as husband and wife to Rusted Root Send Me On My Way. - Niamh & Alex

The colour palette for this wedding is one of my favourites. For another dose of foliage filled green and white have a peek at Alicia and Ryan's big boho do.
