Planning

Continuing our last post celebrating the glorious month of Pride, we’re here for round two. (If you didn’t see it, we shared a roundup of all of our Lesbian weddings). This time, we’ve got a gay wedding roundup.

We at Rock My Wedding wholeheartedly believe that Pride is to be celebrated every day, not just in June. That’s why this includes all of the gay weddings we’ve featured since the last roundup. Each ceremony here showcases the pure love felt by the grooms and the guests alike. Simply re-reading these made us tear up!

Gorgeous grooms, dapper suits, and banging blazers. This roundup is one for the books! If you want to see more of the real wedding just click on the couple’s names to see the full feature.

INDUSTRIAL WEDDING IN AN AIRPLANE HANGAR WITH PLANTS & CAMBODIAN OUTFITS

Bernardo and Vidal’s industrial wedding at an aeroplane hangar in Seattle, USA was insanely cool and enormously joyful. How many people can say they dined on McDonald’s Big Macs immediately after being wed in a hangar?! Not many, that’s for sure - but we’re obsessed nonetheless. Matching white tuxedo jackets and gold Cambodian outfits made for a night to never forget. Ever!

TWO GROOMS IN VELVET TUXEDO JACKET

Velvet tuxes are certainly a statement - and they coincided perfectly with Laurence and Kit’s relaxed and quirky pub wedding. Wedding traditions were not to be found at this ceremony, creating a day that was completely them. Recommended supplier Laura Debourde Photography captured the love, family, and friendship at this beautiful gay wedding. Not to mention the vintage baby blue car - we’re obsessed!

LGBTQI+ CASTLE LESLIE ESTATE WEDDING

With a glamorous, romantic vibe, peacock feather buttonholes, local suppliers and bold, Gatsby-esque colour schemes, Ally and Andrew’s wedding at the Castle Leslie Estate looked straight out of a movie. If you’re a fan of glamorous, bold colours with excellent attention to every little detail (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?) then this will act as the perfect inspiration for you - check it out.

GAY WEDDING AT CHAINSTORE TRINITY BUOY

Matching custom-made suits from Vietnam? Yes, please. Ashley and Toby had an absolutely stunning ceremony at The Chainstore Trinity Buoy Wharf. It was giving industrial, colourful chic. We also love any venue that’s accessible - so extra brownie points, there. With Recommended supplier Story + Colour Photography capturing all of the special moments of this glorious gay wedding, Ashley and Toby have given all of us something to smile about.

OUTDOOR WEDDING GAMES & HOMEMADE DETAILS

If you’re a Summer wedding kind of person, then Michael & James’ playful and stylish ceremony at Recommended Supplier venue Stone Barn is the one for you. Complete with outdoor wedding games like wang a welly, space hopper racing and tug of war, this brought us and the guests back to happy memories - and who doesn’t want that? We can feel all the love and pure, unadulterated happiness through the lens of our fantastic Recommended supplier Story + Colour

LAST-MINUTE WEDDING AT MARYLEBONE

A budget, intimate, last-minute wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall is as stylish and sleek as Samuel & Daniel’s killer suits. Thanks to Covid, this was their third attempt at tying the knot. But boy, are we glad they finally got to do it. Even though it wasn’t how they originally thought they’d get married, it turned out to be all the more unforgettable. This gorgeous event was captured perfectly by Recommended Supplier Joasis Photography, who Samuel & Daniel said really made the difference.

LONDON ELOPEMENT & COUPLE PORTRAITS

London elopements will never go out of style. Nor will Damien & JM’s stunning and chic wedding. The ceremony began at the Savoy Hotel and then ended up at the Old Marleybone Town Hall. Classy or what? Their dapper blue suits and stunning boutonnieres tied everything in this gorgeous gay wedding together, and the stunning shots from Miss Gen Photography prove it - we love love love!

INTIMATE OXFORD TOWN HALL gay WEDDING

Wedding postponements due to Covid are something we sadly see a lot. Sometimes, however, it makes finally getting to the wedding day that much more special. Chris & Callum’s intimate and cosy ceremony certainly proves this theory. An Oxford Town Hall wedding with Chinese lanterns and Instagram-worthy flower walls all made it pretty epic, too.

DARVER CASTLE WEDDING WITH BURGUNDY TUXEDO JACKETS

It’s safe to say that a lot of us have fantasies about getting married in a castle. Nathan and Declan were two incredibly lucky grooms in that respect. Their matching burgundy tuxedo jackets were the cherries on the wedding cake. The shots from this wedding at Darver Castle are straight out of a fairytale! We're sure the 25 close family friends in attendance can attest to that, too.

BURGUNDY WEDDING SUITS FOR AUTUMN MICRO gay WEDDING

An autumnal ceremony and burgundy suits are a match made in micro-wedding heaven. Steven and Ben’s gorgeous wedding was complete with pumpkins and a false cake they made themselves. The Union Jack umbrella and wellies were a lovely addition, making the day a bit more unique. Recommended supplier Cat Stephens Photography captured all the love and happiness.

TITANIC HOTEL LIVERPOOL gay WEDDING

Weddings with Star Wars hints aren’t easy to come by. Luckily for you, Andy & Craig’s ceremony at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool is here to save the day. Both opting for classic tweed suits with some polka dots, the couple looked as stylish as this wedding was stunning. A wonderful gay wedding turned into a groove-busting party with over 300+ people - that’s the real definition of a reception!

TYPEWRITER FONT WEDDING INVITES & MATCHING GROOMS SUITS

We love a bit of vintage chic. We also love the fact that Marc & Ben wiggled in typewriter font wedding invites even more. The brown envelope wrapped with string really tied (see what we did there?) it together. A beautiful sunny day in a Victorian Manor House made for an effortlessly stylish and love-infused ceremony. All the photos from this day scream romance, thanks to Recommended supplier Cat Lane.

The Pride in London parade will be held on Saturday 2nd July 2022. Commemorating 50 Years since the first Pride took place in the UK.

Pride Month is important to many, many people. Commemorating the Stonewall Riots in 1969 that paved the way for gay rights around the world, communities come together from all over the world to celebrate what has been achieved. This isn’t to say that there isn’t still a large amount of work to be done - there is. But instead of focusing on that, we want to shine a light on where we are now. This roundup, as well as our previous roundups, exhibits the beautiful, real and true love that we at Rock My Wedding are constantly trying to show.

However you identify and whatever type of wedding you plan on hosting, you can use the filters on our site to narrow down your search to find inspiration that completely fits your desire. Our ethos remains the same - your day, your way, and we want to make that a whole lot easier for you.

We are constantly encouraging submissions from everyone and anyone. If you’d like to be featured, let your photographer know. Ask them to submit your wedding using our submissions platform.
