An industrial-chic celebration at the Haarlem Mill wedding venue deep in the Derbyshire countryside. With just 6 months to plan, this wedding came together beautifully, with so many lovely aspects from the contemporary wedding stationery, the foliage decor and hanging glass bottles, to the epic wedding cake with four flavours, the delicious cheese tower and the marshmallow bar! And there is no denying that the focal point of the reception (obviously apart from the stunning bride and groom!) was that neon lights behind the top table from Bramblesky - one of our directory's handpicked suppliers - who have done an absolutely amazing job of designing and decorating this wedding!

What Made Our Day Unique

There was a real mix of DIY, personal touches and very modern trends within our wedding. Everything incorporated my personal favorite things from the colours of purple and grey, flavoured marshmallows to having the evening entertainment of a band we've liked for years. Considering we only had 6 months everyone was super helpful and pulled all of this together for us.

Haarlem Mill Wedding

The Haarlem Mill wedding venue in Derbyshire was the perfect backdrop to this couples big day. The converted cotton mill dating back to 1777 complemented the soft industrial theme that the couple were going for, with soft greys and purples being incorporated throughout and then pops of neon to give it an edge! The bride surprised her guests with a speech in which she gifted her new husband a framed football shirt, definitely a highlight of the day for him! The detail and personal touches that went into this day was amazing and are what made it so special!

Inspiration & Styling

Relaxed, chilled, a nice slow pace to everything. we had no real formal photo's and chose to have natural casual photography as I'm not keen on looking at the camera. Also being a greedy big family we put a lot of thought into the food or should I say food for in between the official meal. We offered Ice lollies, marshmallow bar and a huge Cake of cheese. There was not a scrap of cheese left. The style was modern, minimalist with a splash of purples to contrast from the industrial venue of steel and brick which was the base of the inspiration. The Venue has recently had their Ladder installation completed and we made full use of the great way to showcase them with baubles and lights which again is something I loved looking at on Pinterest before we picked a venue.

Although it was a relatively short planning timeframe that the suppliers had to turn this wedding around, they definitely pulled it out the bag, no more so than Bramblesky who provided the stunning props and decor! And that's why they are on the our handpicked supplier directory! rock my wedding forum
