Inspiration

How atmospheric are these gorgeous pre wedding images from Carrie Lavers? I love that she took Justine and James to places close to their hearts to capture some adorable couple shots, but with the most incredible backgrounds. Even on grey days, London is such a striking city. You'll find Carrie on our recommended supplier directory, The List, and if you're looking for an incredible photographer, with a fresh and stylish eye - then she's your girl. She's also 100% lovely, so will make you feel completely at ease on your wedding day (and all of her couples get a FREE pre wedding shoot too)!!! Carrie is currently running a special promotion purely for RMW readers, 20% off your booking when mentioning you found her via Rock My Wedding. So that means an amazing photographer, for a great price AND a little extra money in the shoe/music/drinks pot :) Carrie has a few dates available for this year and for next, so get in touch ASAP. But now, lets enjoy Justine and James' stroll around London town...bonus points to them for the matching scarves - what cuties.

Carrie The Photographer

Carrie the Photographer:I love love love doing engagement shoots!!!! Especially when everything just comes together. Cutest couple – Check! Amazing locations – Check! Moody weather – Check! Matching bright scarf’s – Check! I met Justine and James on a foggy Saturday morning in London. I always advise couples to pick memorable places for their engagement shoots. Justine and James nailed it. St. Dunstan in the East – The proposal. Tower Bridge – The Date Meeting Place. And then finally Temple – Justine’s Workplace. All stunningly beautiful and different. I loved getting to know these guys better and unlike my husband and I, Justine and James are complete naturals in front of the camera! I offer all my couples a complimentary engagement shoot with my wedding photography package. I love getting to meet all my couples before their wedding day, talking to them about their stories, how they met, the proposal and seeing the excitement on their faces when I ask about their upcoming wedding. It really helps my couples feel more at ease in front of the camera and they also get some nice shots to use prior to the wedding. Justine and James are using theirs on their wedding website. Just like every wedding I photograph, there are always special moments from engagement shoots that I will look back on and smile. My most memorable moments from this engagement shoot were when I asked them both to look ‘moody’ and they just looked at each other, tried and then just burst out laughing. SO CUTE!!! And then also getting pooped on standing under a tree, however it was totally worth it as it did deliver one of my favourite shots EVER! And when I get emails like this it makes my life...
"Thank you so so much for our photos. We absolutely love them and are blown away by your photography skills! You are a very talented photographer and we feel lucky to have you as our wedding photographer. Both of us were brought to tears by some of the photos. You have really captured our love and playfulness as well as the spirit of the backdrops we chose. We are so pleased to have chosen you as our wedding photographer and are excited to work with you again in May."
Love these guys and can’t wait for their wedding at the end of May.
