We planned our entire wedding in a week! We had initially planned an epic wedding at Amangiri in the Utah desert earlier in the year, but with the pandemic scuppering our plans the first time and a 2nd lockdown looming, we didn't want to wait to tie the knot.
CITY WEDDING
We wanted a classic London City wedding. We're both romantics at heart, so we visited the location of our first kiss; the steps of St Pauls cathedral, en route to Claridge's. The streets were very quiet and the few people we did encounter were showering us with the sweetest well wishes and smiles. Our ceremony at Islington Town Hall was held in the rarely available, beautifully ornate Council Chamber(thank you social distancing requirements) it felt like we were the only couple marrying that day and all of London was available to us.
LANVIN WEDDING DRESS
I never saw myself as a bride. I visited bridal boutiques and tried on a myriad of dresses, none ever feeling quite right. It wasn't until I abandoned that route and instead explored fashion designers that I really started to enjoy the dress shopping process. I went to Paris, calling ahead to some high-end boutiques to set aside dresses. I managed to buy my Lanvin wedding dress, shoes and lingerie in one afternoon on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. All making alterations and shipping to my London home within 3 days. Truly a stress-free, champagne-fuelled experience!

We were a tiny party of four, but we had the most epic day together. Laughing, drinking, toasting and sharing stories. People say you'll remember how you felt on your wedding day, not the tiny details. We both felt so alive and excited for the future. The whole day exceeded expectations!
