Anybody else fallen hard for bride Laura's Nicolás Costura wedding gown? I know I have. We're always smitten with a low V back here at Rock My Wedding, and when it has the added detail of a lace edge we love it even more! The picturesque Asturias, a small beautiful region in the north of Spain. was the location for this couples nuptials and celebration, taking full advantage of the natural environment and locally catered food they enjoyed a very emotive, and incredibly romantic wedding captured by La Mar Studio Photography.
Laura the Bride: In an emotional, intimate, romantic and above all fun wedding, organized by them, into the green surroundings of the Museum of the Asturian People.
It was a very special tailor-made design by Nicolás Costura, made of double crêpe, chiffon and needlepoint, he managed to perfectly understand my ideas. Which resulted in the dress of my dreams, comfortable and also drew my silhouette, with my back open, delicate details and a beautiful trail. Nicolás also made the dress of Jorge's mother and godmother.
To adorn the hairstyle, I wore a wonderful crown of Tocados Le Touquet. She wanted a very natural crown, something delicate and branched and the result could not be better, an authentic piece of art. From the crown came a sweet veil of tulle plumeti.
For my hairstyle I wanted a style that was as simple as possible, so I opted for loose hair with highlights, that way I could feel like myself. Barbara of Barbareando was the one who actually understood what I wanted. Lorena Carbajal took care of the makeup, she was the one who achieved a luminous skin with neutral and pastel colours, obtaining a romantic result from the simplest and most natural.
I wore my engagement ring made of diamonds and the earrings that were given to me by Jorge's parents from Swarovski. The wedding rings had a simple and elegant pink gold design of Suarez Jewelry. The fabrication of the rustic wooden holder for the wedding rings were commended to La Letrera, who personalized it with the initials of the couple and the date of the wedding (we can include photo 211 to show the alliance holder)
My shoes were leather sandals in nude pink, with silver touches, from Uniqshoes, which I was able to customise.
Jorge for this special day chose an elegant and modern suit by Hugo Boss in navy blue and a matching vest, with a tie of the same designer and a white shirt by Pedro del Hierro. As accessories, he wore a brown leather watch with a white dial.
All the floral decoration, as well as the bouquet, in a natural style, were made by Pando Floristas and were inspired by the tones of the accessories of the bride. The green colour predominated with lilac, pink and white touches, for it was used astilbe rose, paniculata and daisy flowers, with much fern, ivy and eucalyptus. The flower children wore a pin with a replica of the bride's bouquet. Something that stood out in the ceremony were 2 large wicker baskets and a large unstructured wreath, as well as small bouquets hanging from the benches. For the centerpieces glass jars with flowers were used on wooden trunks accompanied by candles. The rest of the decoration, full of magical details, had vintage cages, wicker baskets, candles and slates with instructions for the guests.
The wedding stationery was run by Little Moments Design, reflecting the country style that dominated every celebration. I gave m bouquet to my best friend who could not hold back her tears at the surprise, it was a very exciting moment.
The religious ceremony took place in the Parish of San Salvador de Deva, immersed in an idyllic spot where you could perceive the nature at its best. In it, There, one of Laura's best friends, dressed in Bgo & me, made a beautiful and very emotional reading. Afterwards, the bride and groom and all the guests moved to La Salgar restaurant in the heart of Gijón, owned by the Manzano brothers, who hold 3 Michelin stars, an intimate and very special place that made the couple fall in love from the first moment. They began the celebration with a cocktail party with live music in the garden, by the hand of Cuarteto Lirice, who also played at the ceremony, where the guests could enjoy delicious canapés among the trees, until they later get into the restaurant, which has a large window to the garden to enjoy the wonderful views. Finally the party took place in the "Tendayu" (means shed in Asturian) of the Museum of the Asturian People illuminated with dozens of light bulbs, built entirely with solid chestnut wood on horizontal beams. This construction, of 400 square meters, was very used during the XV and XVI centuries in the armor of large houses and palaces throughout the region. The dance began at 7 p.m., for this they had a DJ of Premium Events, who animated the party until the wee hours of the morning. Without forgetting the work of Jorge's father, who spontaneously became the soul of the party.
All the food was provided by Manzano Catering, who offer a renewed vision of the typical Asturian food. It was very important for the couple to conquer their guests by their stomachs. At the cocktail party, there was a huge buffet table of cheeses, and an exquisite octopus cooked live, along with numerous appetizers, while the guests drank a wide variety of wines and cider, a typical Asturian drink that comes from the apple. For lunch, as main dishes they chose fish and lamb accompanied by potatoes and vegetables and caramelized torrija dessert (caramel and bread, typical Asturian) with ice cream. Finally, at night, a potato omelet and rice with live chicken stew were served in the dance area.
For the photos they chose La Mar Studio, they loved their style, since they give special importance to the naturalness and spontaneity, giving life to places with charm, magic and preferably, outdoors. From the first moment they met, they connected and they knew it could not be any other. The photographer knew how to capture the precious snapshots that show you each and every one of the emotions experienced that day.
