Anna & Matt’s day at Longton Wood looks like something out of a fairytale (and we’re not just talking about the fact that there were six dogs present). Their outdoor ceremony looked truly whimsical, with an incredible floral arch, featuring bright and bold blooms. A fairy-lit tipi set the scene for their reception, and was complete with delicious vegan street food - all served from retro vans! Their post-ceremony photoshoot genuinely feels as though we’ve stepped through the Looking Glass and into Wonderland. Oh, and don’t forget to check out Anna’s bouquet - we’re completely enamoured!
We designed and made together the save-the-dates, invitations, menu, welcome sign, table plan, place names and a coconut shy. It was quite intense but at least we know we can work together!
Relaxed, intimate, vegan and in a woodland setting! We always knew it had to be a wood. Spending several weekends designing our save-the-dates and invitations together - everything else took it’s cue from those really. We spent a lot of time designing signage that we printed on canvas and hung like scrolls from trees. Our tables were named after animals habitats and each place setting had an animal figurine, which we painstakingly sprayed gold.
Longton Wood
Longton Wood provided the picturesque backdrop to Anna & Matt’s day. Featuring ancient bluebell woodland and 60ft pine trees, this incredible venue is literally a dream! As Anna is an interior stylist, she had a very clear vision of how she wanted their day to look, and so a dry hire venue was always a must. They also designed and made many elements of the day, ensuring the overall feel portrayed who they are as individuals, and as a couple.
After our vows (which we wrote ourselves), we had a hand-fasting ceremony, which everyone said was really special. Having a vegan wedding was always important to us because we are both vegan and anything else wouldn’t have felt right.
