Inspiration

Amidst the uncertainty of 2020, we were very lucky to have a wedding day that was an oasis of sunshine, fun and escapism with our closest friends and family. We wanted a day that was as relaxed as possible, without too formal a schedule, so we could be present and enjoy celebrating being together. The venue and our suppliers did an amazing job of creating a magical wedding ceremony with the sea as our backdrop, followed by the perfect beach party with chilled acoustic vibes and fish & chips by the fire pit!

We wanted to keep the day low-key, intimate and leisurely. We kept the styling minimal, as the venue and the view captured the magic -- helped by the sunny September skies. We had simple, handmade dried flower table arrangements. The dress code was "beach smart"... Blazers and chinos, summer dresses and the bride walked barefoot down the aisle.

Simple, beach vibes was perfect for us. If traditional is your thing, then do it! The main thing is to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible on your day and whatever you do, make sure you have enough time to just be with each other (we had a "sweetheart" table for the wedding breakfast). Finally, spend time to find the right suppliers! The venue staff, musician and our photographer were outstanding and took our day to even greater heights with their enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile.
