Spanish Military Wedding

Photography by Diego Egusquiza
This beautiful Military wedding took place at the Basilica Of Covadonga, in the National Park of the Picos de Europa. An incredibly special and traditional day for Laura & Gaizka, the couple were married in an emotional religious ceremony, which included readings from friends and ended with a Military ‘Swords Corridor’ - in which the couple cannot finish the passage until they kiss! The styling of their day was inspired by Asturias; their culture, food, complete with accent colours of white and brown. The bride looked stunning in a classically fitted white gown, complete with a stunning lace back and exposed buttons. Their day ended with plenty of dancing, laughing, and Laura changing into her trainers! We seriously do not blame her…

What Made Our Day Unique

Our day was so special, we describe it as unique. It was a traditional wedding and very familiar and also a very fun day.The religious ceremony was very emotional, especially when a friend gave us a few beautiful words and, above all, the letter that the groom read to me.

Military Wedding

There is something so beautiful and classic about a Military wedding. From the ridiculously smart uniforms, to the traditions honoured throughout, they always look so manicured and perfect. We love that Laura & Gaizka managed to incorporate personal touches within their wedding, such as the headdress worn by the bride, which was given by the groom’s mother - it is little things such as this that can make your day so special.

Military Wedding

At the end of the ceremony, the bridegroom’s military mates made us a swords' corridor. It is something traditional in military weddings, the two last military mates do not let you finish the passage if the bride and groom don’t kiss.
