What Made Our Day Unique

I actually think we found our venue, Godwick Hall and Barn, via RMW – we really wanted a venue that we could have for the weekend, get married outside, and that was also completely DIY, which was really important for us as we have so many ideas! We really wanted to use our own suppliers and bring our own bar. Godwick Hall did it all! We did not have a top table or a cutting of a cake, We sat amongst our family and friends on long banquet style tables, as we just wanted to be fully present and enjoy everyone's company the whole day. Go with your gut on every decision as it's probably right, and really try not to worry too much in the build-up – you will have the best day regardless of anything that may happen, smile, laugh, dance, eat and just simply enjoy it! It really is the very best day!

Claire and Liam found Norfolk wedding photographer Darina Stoda via Instagram and immediately fell in love with her style. Her relaxed approach to photography made them feel at ease straight away, with all their guests thinking she was a wedding guest she mingled so well. Their fabulous videographers, This Modern Revelry, however, were found whilst pouring over RMW real weddings. They remember watching a couple of weddings by them – and completely falling for their vibe! Wedding photography and captures are so important to retain those special memories of your day, which makes choosing a wedding photographer one of the most important decessions you'll make during your wedding planning journey. Inspiration & Styling

We didn’t want the day to have a colour scheme or theme. We just really wanted to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere, one where everyone including ourselves were totally comfortable. Outdoor bohemian weddings in Australia and US were the main inspiration, The main aim was to have a feeling of the outside, inside, so we hired loads of trees to put inside the barn, including blossom trees which looked so beautiful! We had a flower crown making station, a roaming band, and corn hole game during the drinks reception which all seem to go down well. Seeing everyone in their flower crowns was so lovey – even Liams gran was involved!
