Inspiration

From rings made by the groom to the sci-fi themed decor, this pink pampas grass wedding was an explosion of colour and creativity. The florals at this wedding absolutely have to be seen to be believed. I mean, who knew pampas grass could look so gloriously vibrant!? Not to mention the golden age Hollywood vibes that influenced everything from Charlene's dress to their sweet ride. If there is anything we can learn from this wedding its that injecting your personality will create a day that is truly unique, and truly yours. (Our podcast on DIY wedding ideas can help you here...) All in all, this wedding looked a hell of a lot of fun... joy ride in the Triumph anyone?

Sci-Fi themed pink pampas grass wedding at Castle Leslie.

Our vibe was like a red carpet screening of Flash Gordon. A sort of blend of golden age Hollywood and 70's Sci-Fi. It was just a really relaxed and joyful day!

DIY

Well, we've seen DIY wedding decor, and then we've seen Charlene and Eoin's pink pampas grass wedding. Goldsmith groom Eoin created the rings, cake topper, stationery and Charlene's gorgeous earrings. The colourful welcome sign was painted by Charlene, and they also enlisted their musically-gifted friends to play her down the aisle. Talented or what? The one thing they didn't DIY were the incredible floral installations and bouquets from The Rosehip and Berry, and boy are they a treat for the eyes.

MUSIC

Not a couple to do things by halves, Charlene and Eoin had everything from strings to 70's rock as the soundtrack to their pink pampas grass wedding. Charlene made an entrance to Redbone's 'Come and Get Your Love', and Groomsman Aengus sang Roisin Dubh in Sean Nós during the ceremony. Eoin's sister Sophie performed music from Cinema Paradiso on her viola as they signed the marriage registry and the Beatle's played whilst they walked back down the aisle. Eclectic? Yes. Fun? Hell yes. Are we taking notes? Erm yes, yes we are.

Spending time researching your suppliers and finding the perfect match will be worth it when your dreams come to life on the day.

We truly loved our flowers, they made the most incredible installation. Hollie is a true artist, and made our day look sensational. Also a mention to the very talented Lori Muldoon, who redesigned my mother's 1981 headers with a perfect balance between old and new!
