Inspiration

Sarah and Graeme turned the fabulous used horse barn you see before you into a luxe-country wedding venue in just three days with the help of their family and friends, including adding the immense pom pom wedding decor. Sarah's mum also did an excellent job arranging the wildflowers, and Sarah's dad became an excellent chauffeur. Plus with a few last-minute adjustments taking place the night before the wedding (table plan & gold foil 'S' balloon), everything was set for them to have their day their way.

What Made Our Day Unique

As it was a handmade from scratch wedding, all our friends and family came together to help us fill the venue (which is normally used to house horses on the farm) and transform it over three days. My brother Simon set up the music in the evening (and was the DJ) and hung the lights from a very high ladder! We sourced everything from Sussex to celebrate the beautiful county we live in. We found the wonderful caterers at a local fair, and the band from our favourite pub!

Pom Pom Wedding Decor

Tell me you don't love the wonderful pom pom wedding decor and I won't believe you! The mixture of red, pink and gold hues look striking against the barn's wooden beams, making a real focal point as you enter the reception. It also frames the adorable couples portrait by Maryanne Weddings, beautifully encapsulating our wonderful newlyweds and everything their homemade wedding represents. We've popped together The Best Balloon Ideas for Weddings that you could easily use as inspiration for your own pom pom masterpiece.

Sarah walked down the aisle to Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros, and they both walked out to Love Is In the Air by John Paul Young. With the disco in the evening featuring anything and everything from Stevie Wonder to Fleetwood Mac to Beyonce.
