Only worn once on my wedding day and then it has been professionally cleaned and stored in an air-tight bag ready for resale. Original designer Pheonix Gowns but the whole back of the dress was redesigned and hand-made by my seamstress. Original dress had a keyhole cut out shape with buttons up to the neck with an exposed ribbon corset. The back of the dress has now been made out of the excess mikado satin from the train into a V shape which matches the front beaded top section. The satin buttons run all the way down the back of the dress to the foot of the train, though these are only for show. They sit on top of a zip and hook and eye. One of the buttons near the bum area is reinforced so that the dress can be bustled in the evening. The body and arms are entirely beaded, not lace. The sleeves are 3/4 length in a breathable material. The waist is a seam of beads running along the front - the back does not have this as the cut of the dress gives a natural waist. Under the skirt, there are layers of netting to give the dress good shape. The dress has pockets! Mikado satin is a premium satin which gives extra shine in the light compared the standard satin. This satin is in the shade ivory. There is a built in padded corset/bra with three hooks and eye to give a smooth shape on the back. I am a 36F and did not wear a bra with the dress because it is so secure. The original size of the dress was a UK18 but wedding dresses come up small.
