Inspiration

Escape the every day with this rustic luxe wedding, a match made in heaven between barn conversion and luxury wedding venue. Gorgeous decorative details make the wood-clad walls and ceilings sing and create an indoors-outdoors feel, which is just perfect for a winter wedding. Kendal & Rob were blessed with beautiful weather, casting a super romantic vibe over the celebrations and resulting in golden hour shots to die for. Oh, and a note on the dress - Lexi by Enzoani - a delicate lace fishtail number with customised cap sleeves. Not only is it completely dreamy, but also Kendal admits that it had a stretchy lining meaning - in her own words - "more wedding cake for me!". Now that truly is a bride after our own hearts.

The Vibe Of Our Day

It was really important to us that our wedding reflected us both as a couple. We wanted the day to be a fun and relaxed celebration with all of our family and friends able to enjoy themselves. RMW’s ‘Your Day Your Way’ gave us plenty of inspiration, and we decided on rustic, romantic styling with plenty of foliage and accents of blush, plum and gold to reflect the time of year. Blake Hall was the first and only venue we visited, but we instantly knew it was the one, falling in love with its rustic charm and the fact our whole day – the ceremony, drinks reception and evening celebrations – could be in one place.

Rustic Luxe Wedding

As wedding obsesses with a mission to ensure your big day is the best it can be, it is so gratifying to hear that Kendal & Rob used our book, Your Day Your Way, to inspire their rustic luxe wedding at the beautiful Blake Hall. Their barn venue is dripping with charming décor, from fairy lights draped across the ceiling and down the walls, to the on-the-day table stationery, order of the day pallet, welcome signage and polaroid photo display made by Kendal herself. And what about those flowers? The hand-tied bouquets by Karen at The Flower Mill bring the season to life with hydrangeas, dahlias, menta roses and calla lilies all featuring. So lovely.

Advice For Brides-to-be

Enjoy being engaged, and the whole wedding planning process, as much as possible. The build-up is a great chance to spend time with your nearest and dearest and we are both so grateful for all of the help we received. On the day, take time to stop. The best advice I was given was to try to pause every so often, look around and take everything in. The day goes so quickly but it was wonderful to step back together and soak in all of the love. And most importantly, do your wedding your way! Remember it's a celebration of you and your partner's love for each other.

Kendal & Rob

As per our mantra - your day, your way - we truly believe that planning a wedding is all about prioritising what is important to you. These details truly make your day memorable and personal, whether that be the styling, food, music, or all the above! For Kendal & Rich, beautiful stationery was one non-negotiable element, and so they turned to RMW recommended supplier Pear Paper Co for their elegant and timeless invitation suite. Keen to follow suit? Our handpicked supplier directory, The List, spotlights the very best stationers, so you can also be confident about setting the right tone.
