An Italian destination wedding where the bride looked beautiful in a lace wedding dress with a side ponytail clutching a foliage bouquet. Stunning views were the backdrop to the outdoor ceremony at Palazzo Mannocchi, followed by dinner in the historic square of Petritoli overlooked by the prettiest clock tower. The travel-loving couple knew they wanted to incorporate their passion into their day and what better way than renting a 32 bedroom house for their 70 guests in a small picturesque town in Italy for a week of laughter, fun, food and drink, ending with their wedding! Wanting to make it super personal, the couple made a lot of the decorations themselves, from their wedding invites to the personalised bedroom door signs for each guest's rooms, even handwriting each guest individual notes that they placed in their bedrooms to thank them for coming!

What Made Our Day Unique

We love traveling, and we both knew that we wanted our wedding to be a reason to gather friends and family to share in an adventure where we could create memories, spend quality time with each guest, have old friends catch up, and witness new friendships form. So we rented a 32 bedroom Palazzo in the tiniest town of Petritoli, Italy and spent an amazing week of delicious food, hilarious games & unlimited wine surrounded by friendship and love. The wedding ceremony was the culmination of the week and took place in the town garden overlooking the Italian countryside with the reception in the town square with a perfectly picturesque clock tower. Truly an unforgettable time for us and our 70 guests who said yes to the adventure!

Side Ponytail

The bride chose a lace dress with delicate capped sleeves and train, teaming it with a loose side ponytail with a braid and natural makeup, it complemented the wedding setting beautifully, simple but elegant! She was flanked by her bridesmaids who wore a mixture of bluey-green dresses, some patterned with floral print, all carrying foliage bouquets with hints of white flowers. The venue decor was kept simple with pampas grass and foilage to allow the pictureque Italian venue do the talking!

Inspiration & Styling

When your are planning from afar, there is only so much you can control, and from our very first chat with Elisa I knew I could trust her completely to execute the vibe and vision I had for the day. I didn't want to have to be bogged down in approving every detail but I knew I wanted to keep things Italian inspired and rustic with natural and wood elements so I sent her and our florist, I Fiori di Ale, some photos of olive branches, candles, and cork and let them take it from there. It was actually really fun to be surprised the day of with their execution and they went above and beyond what I could have imagined. The town was already picturesque enough, and the decor they created just added to the ambiance. Everything from the ceremony arch to my gorgeous bouquet and the table setting which included details like doilies inspired by my lace dress was perfectly simple yet stunning.
