Inspiration

Having to change venue at the last minute, Siobhan and Niall held their love-filled day at the beautiful Southend Barns. A day that was originally planned to consist of over 200 people turned into a more intimate and relaxed setting, complete with their closest friends and family (minus a few!) Now, let’s all turn our attention to the decor of the day - yes, please. Featuring chic pampas arrangements, twinkling fairy lights above the reception table, and a custom neon sign, this wedding simply proves that no matter the numbers, you can ensure your day is still everything you want it to be. Siobhan and Niall were determined to marry regardless of the current situation, and when being together is that important to you, we guarantee everything will be perfect. Trust us.

What Made Our Day Unique

The intimacy of the day made it so special. Having only our closest friends and family there (minus a few) meant the atmosphere was very relaxed and we could spend time with each guest throughout the course of the day. Also, due to Covid-19, we were able to have a shorter legal ceremony with the registrars and so could have our Pastor come and do a Christian service for us. This was so key as we wanted our day to be focused on the love between us two and God.

Southend Barns

Changing your wedding venue at the last minute can be a little (a lot) daunting, but thankfully, Southend Barns were ready and waiting to come to Siobhan and Niall’s rescue! Nestled into the countryside in the beautiful village of Donnington, Southend Barns is set in such a picture-perfect setting, your wedding photos will be thanking you for it! Ensuring their vision was captured, Siobhan and Niall worked with suppliers who had previously worked with the style they wanted to created, which fit perfectly within the Southend Barns venue.

Favourite Moment

There were so many it’s hard to choose when you loved every moment. One part of the day we particularly loved was celebrating at our sit-down dinner with our family and friends. We got to chat and laugh with them all, as well as, remember people that were no longer with us. Knowing in that moment that all these people were joining us on our journey in marriage was a really special time. We had never felt so content.

Advice

No matter whether you are getting married right now during this pandemic or way in the future, make sure you know what’s important to you. Decide what you definitely can’t get married without and be ready to let go of what is not on that list. Planning a wedding in this time, made us realise what was really in our hearts in terms of marriage. For us that was joining together as one before God, no matter the circumstance. For others that could be waiting to celebrate with all their family at a time when they can do so.

Siobhan & Niall

We understand things are difficult right now, and changing plans last minute is becoming the norm. But remember, love isn’t cancelled, so if you need a little help scaling back, then look no further. Also, if the styling of Siobhan and Niall’s day is right up your street, we have all the pampas grass and neon sign inspiration you could need…
