Inspiration

With a wedding budget of 15K, Hannah & Si were keen to do things themselves to make it stretch that little bit further. This included growing all their guests a succulent wedding favour. Their naked wedding cake was also homebaked by a family member and their relaxed approach to wedding planning shone through at their outdoor, boho wedding. All the lovely details and moments were captured by recommended supplier Wild Tide Weddings, so sit back relax and savour every detail.

What Made Our Day Unique

We were keen to show our personalities in the design of the wedding. With a smaller budget, we created handmade touches and used natural colour schemes, to emphasise the beauty of the venue. Importantly, we really wanted a laid back wedding, and that requires a laid back mindset! There is a great deal of tradition in weddings that can make them feel serious or up-tight! That’s just not us... we decided to aim for relaxed and laid-back! A boho style, with a relaxed dress code to put our guests at ease.

Succulent Wedding Favours

There's nothing more personal than a homemade, homebaked or homegrown wedding favour. It shows the couple truly care about thanking their wedding guests for joining them on their special day. Hannah & Si went to the trouble of making all their guests a handmade succulent wedding favour, individually potted and staked with a message 'let love grow'. Advice

Plan early and don’t sweat the small stuff. Mistakes happen, issues arise... happiness is expectations minus reality, so expect things to go wrong, and learn what it truly means to roll with the punches. Our favourite moment was when we truly realised the extent of everyone we knew and loved being there with us on our wedding celebrating our marriage. Priceless!
