What Made Our Day Unique
We wanted a wedding which celebrated our favourite things; travel, friendship, family, food, wine and fun! Whilst Vignamaggio gives off a timeless romantic and almost ceremonial feel, we liked the idea of fusing these elements of the old with the new. From the music to our personalised vows, to the food, to the outfits, to the rave cave (!), we enjoyed mixing things up against the backdrop of the beautiful renaissance villa. We knew from the moment we started planning, that we were after a relaxed vibe, where guests could let their hair down and feel like our wedding was also their holiday.Jess & John
Inspiration & Styling
We wanted a vintage-inspired wedding, which merged old romance with a few contemporary twists. The dress code was ‘summer chic’ and we were happy to see our guests rocking so many vibrant outfits, sunhats and bold lipsticks! Our colour scheme was designed to complement the dusty pink hues of the building, so we went for soft tones, including earl grey, dove blue, olive green and whites. To stay true to the Italian setting we incorporated seasonal produce in both the flower arrangements and the menus. We favoured wild meadowy arrangements over more traditional and elaborate styles. We wanted to keep things playful, injecting splashes of colour, bubbles, keyboards, glow sticks, sparklers and jumpsuits…Jess & John
Wedding Dress
Finding the dress was a challenge. Eventually, I decided I wanted something simple, with a clean silhouette, which I hoped would be fitting for a Tuscan wedding. I wanted to accessorize with jewellery, shoes (blue ones at that), a detailed veil and a wild bouquet. I finally laid eyes on my dream dress only a couple of months before our wedding, at Browns Bridal in Mayfair. They had just got Lihi Hod’s new Secret Garden collection in and I fell in love with the simplicity of her Brooklyn sweetheart neckline wedding dressJess & John
