We are so in the mood for a beautiful – and beauty-filled – wedding, and this delightful day does not disappoint. Brympton House provides the perfect backdrop for the celebrations, which include a blushing bride in St Patrick La Sposa and a Britten Weddings veil (discovered through RMW’s handpicked supplier directory, The List), an elegant ivory, gold and grey colour scheme, a homemade chocolate biscuit refrigerator cake (mm mmm!) – and Barley the ‘bridesdog’. You will spy a few brollies amongst Helen Cawte‘s captures, but word from the wedded wise: don’t allow yourself to fixate on things which are out of your control. Bride Kate spent months worrying about the weather, and had more than ten forecast apps on her phone, but, with hindsight, she wishes she hadn’t spent so long worrying about the weather as there was nothing she could do – and she hardly noticed the odd shower. Plus, the white bridal brollies look rather lovely in the photos.
Pinterest overwhelm is a common ailment that many brides-to-be suffer from, but can you imagine how bad it is when you actually WORK AT PINTEREST?!?!? Yep, Bride Jade works at Pinterest. Very cool job – probably a little much when it comes to wedding planning! But Jade tackled it like a pro, keeping her cool and using it to organise her ideas and pull off the beautiful wedding you see below. Naturally RMW had a little role to play (not ones to blow our own trumpet, but we have a reach of 9 million on Pinterest 😉 #justsaying) and our gorgeous couple found their venue, photographer and videographer using real weddings right here. Smug faces all round because it genuinely brings us so much joy to help people have the best day ever. We’re so lucky to share these weddings with you all and Jade and Thomas’ big day by Modern Vintage Weddings is an absolute stunner. Enjoy everyone!
Gemma’s gorgeous bridal hair set our Instagram feed on fire when we shared it a couple of weeks ago, so I have a feeling you’re going to enjoy pouring over the rest of the wedding. Carla Blain has such a gorgeous editing style, so atmospheric and emotive. Her couple portraits are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Gemma and Justin’s?! HOLY SWOON.
I love how pared back and and simple this wedding day is, lots of white blooms, candles and foliage is always a winner if you want to create a day that is elegant and minimal. Gemma absolutely dazzles in her Mikaella Bridal gown, and has accessorised to perfection too, that hair vine!!!
This one is all about the love, elegant details and sizzling couple portraits, enjoy!
We had the pleasure of meeting gorgeous bride Vivienne in London for a work meeting at the beginning of the year. Viv’s excitement about her wedding day was infectious, so it’s really lovely to be able to share her and James’ beautiful day with you all. The couple have created a truly elegant occasion, from the florals to the fashion, every element is truly timeless. Viv wears Ronald Joyce and quite rightly states that there aren’t many times in life where you can wear a silk ballgown…so you may as well make the most of it! And we’re so glad she did, Viv looks incredible.
And for such a stylish, classic wedding, an elegant photographer was needed – step in Anneli Marinovich, whose style reflects Viv and James’ big day to perfection. And make sure you watch the film from Cupcake Videos – it really brings the day to life. Congratulations lovely Viv, and thank you for sharing your day with us.
This morning’s wedding is one which is very close to our hearts because it’s packed full of suppliers we’ve worked with for numerous years, who we are now lucky enough to call friends. Gorgeous Bride Lisa runs her own stationery and design company and creates gorgeous wedding stationery day in and day out, so we always knew her wedding would be beautiful. Then you throw in the styling prowess of Sundari, The Wedding Stylist, whose own wedding planning journey we shared on these very pages, and you’ve got yourself one seriously elegant, cohesively styled wedding.
Lisa looks absolutely stunning in her Anna Campbell gown and the gorgeous Maid of Honour? That’s our very own Becky – who had her second little boy just weeks before the big day! We KNOW, she’s amazing.
There’s so much gorgeousness to bring you that we’ve got a special feature on the design and details coming up on Sunday, so do check back at the weekend to read more. And if you love Lisa’s stationery as much as we do then you’ll be pleased to know that she has made Skye one of her house collections – you can see it in full here. But for now, I strongly urge you to get comfortable because this is one wedding you’ll want to savour…
I love this burgundy and green colour scheme. It’s not colours you see together often, but oh my it looks SO beautiful. Especially teamed with Bride Sally’s golden Mon Cheri gown, which I think I could talk about endlessly. All I will say is exquisite!
Dan and Sally are childhood sweethearts so I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house as they said their “I Dos” in the old ceremony room at Brympton House. From there they emerged as husband and wife to the most beautiful sunny day with lots of smiles and hugs. They had an afternoon tea style wedding breakfast with touching speeches before moving over to The Stables Bar for their fabulous choreographed waltz, first dance. Both rooms were adorned with the sweetest decor including golden candle sticks in the window, foliage, antique books and gypsophila blooms.
I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling whist poring over the images captured by Helen Cawte Photography and I know you will love them and this classic country wedding too. Enjoy.
If you were to have a wedding in the Spring and there was to be a carpet of fallen blossom on the ground you would absolutely have to make the most of it wouldn’t you? Ruth and James certainly did, the most beautiful nature-made backdrop for show-stopping portraits.
Grey and pink is one of my all time favourite colour combinations and this pair have used the hues so well, Ruth’s best girls look particularly luscious in their mis-match pale blush frockage. Did I mention the flowers? Just lovely. And Ruth’s lace gown? Equally perfect.
