A stunning day for a beautiful couple at Villa Le Fontanelle in Florence. The bride and groom chose to get married in Florence, between their current home of Dubai and their native Canada, so needed somewhere all their friends and family could easily congregate to celebrate the big day! And boy did they celebrate, from the outdoor ceremony with stunning flowers to the alfresco 5-course wedding breakfast under a canopy of fairy lights overlooking the Italian countryside and beautiful sunset. The evening finished with a great performance from Brightlights, their chosen wedding band, where guests enjoyed taking to the stage to accompany them and sing the night away! It was everything the couple could have hoped for and more! And we can't not mention the elegant bespoke bride dress that complements the luxurious but understated vibe of the day beautifully!

What Made Our Day Unique

I think everyone will say their wedding was unique in some way, but for us it was our guests. We've both lived away from our home of Montreal for so long and over the years we've made, amazing long-lasting friendships with so many people from all over the world. The best part was seeing all of our guests travel the globe to be there to support us in our marriage. Not only did we have our families from Montreal and our friends from Dubai, where we currently live in attendance. We had our nearest and dearest travel from; London, Singapore, Calgary, Iceland, Georgia, Spain, Lebanon, Germany, USA, Toronto, and Australia all to be there for us. No matter how far apart we all live, or how many weeks it had been since we last saw each other, none of that mattered when it came to their support. It just showed us, how important all these relationships truly are.

Villa Le Fontanelle

Every detail had been meticulously planned and considered by either the bride herself or their wedding planner, Cristina Ditta from The Wedding Care, from the stunning table decor with the foliage finishing touches to the Gelato truck serving the guests delicious treats. The flowers perfectly complemented the hues of Villa Le Fontanelle and at night, fairy lights lit up the family-style wedding tables that were littered in foliage table runners, candles and golden cutlery.

Inspiration & Styling

For us the most important thing when looking for a venue, was to find a place with a lot of natural beauty. We knew from the start that we would be having a destination wedding, Our aim was to find a place where we could meet our guests and enjoy a few days of holiday together. Next on our list was good food and wine, which lead us to focus in on France or Italy as our choice destinations, from there our inspiration began. We love greenery and monochromatic colours, so we went with a very simplistic style. Our objective was too keep things classic and feminine while holding true to a very natural look and feel. We really wanted most of our day to take place outdoors, and as such made our decor and design complement the surroundings of our venue, which overlooked tuscan countryside and the city of Florence.
