Planning

Stilettos, wedges, block heels. Metallic, velvety, bejeweled. Frilly, fluffy, feathered. The possibilities when it comes to what to wear on your feet for that all-important walk down the aisle (and almost-as-important sashay onto the dancefloor!) are endless. Prepare to be inspired.

Traditional Wedding Shoes

If there is one occasion when you’re allowed to splash out on shoes then it’s your wedding day. We are 100% behind you if you choose to sport a set of designer heels. However, if spending all that budget isn't your thing, there are many great finds to be had on the high street.

Colourful Wedding Shoes

Who says you have to stick with tradition? After all, it is #yourdayyourway. If you’re a colourful kinda girl, then why not stick to what you know and go for a colour pop shoe. Boden is brill for chic, vibrant heels, and if you’re after a pair of wedding shoes in a specific hue then Rainbow Club offers a colour-matching service.

Wedding Trainers
If you’ve read any of my posts over on Rock My Style then you’ve probably gathered that I am obsessed with all things Rifle Paper, so I absolutely loved this real wedding where the bride wore Rifle Paper Keds. I couldn’t find these in the UK (*sob*), but I did find a bunch of lustworthy, wedding-perfect Converse and Supergas. Wear them for the whole day, or swap your heels for trainers for the dancefloor, and get your flower girls some mini-me trainers for the ultimate in cute. And if you’re wondering what to give to your guests for favours, then why not treat them to some personalised Converse?
For more #shoespiration be sure to listen to this week’s podcast which is all about The Accessories, and follow us on Pinterest: we’ve got a whole board dedicated to wedding shoes.
