What type of venue do you offer?
The Pavilion. Our Pavilion is a Barn style venue. With light oak beams, glass fronted floor to ceiling windows that overlooks the lake, it is a great location for your Wedding Breakfast. It can seat up to 150 guests for a meal and 250 for an evening. The Secret Garden. The Secret Garden is for Festival style Weddings and is located behind our lake. The great thing about its location says it all in its name “The Secret Garden” Your guests will be completely unaware that it is there throughout your reception drinks and canapes and will only realise when you take your seats for your Wedding breakfast.
Are you licensed for Civil Ceremonies?
East Mersea Hall is licensed for Civil ceremonies both inside the Drawing Room and The Pavilion and outside in our Walled Garden or tranquil Woodland. We also have the beautiful Saint Edmunds Church situated a 30 second walk away.
Do you allow external Caterers?
You are only able to use our in-house catering team to ensure quality of food and service.
Do you have a team that can help with planning and managing the day?
Our experienced team will guide you through the entire planning process from start to finish. You will also have a Wedding Manager on the day to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that you have a stress-free day.
Do you have accommodation on site?
We have our Bridal Suite that is available from 10.30am the morning of your Wedding and yours to stay in for the evening. There are lots of Air B&B’s on the Island for your guests should they wish to stay close by.
