Can we stay over?
Of course! Make a night (or two) of it. We include the gorgeous Queen Anne Suite for our couples on their wedding night and offer preferential rates for your guests to stay too. Then you can all meet for breakfast the next morning (unless you'd like to have breakfast in bed for course!)
Can we get married with you?
Our light drenched Orangery and archery lawn (where you can marry next to a Saxon moat no less!) are both licensed for a wedding ceremony and we then suggest that your reception is held in our ancient Tithe Barn. Both are a blank canvas for you to decorate as you wish (we just ask for no nails to be added to our ancient wooden beams please).
What's your food like?
In a word fabulous! We cook our food ourselves and can offer a traditional sit down meal, a barbeque, pizzas cooked on our wood fired pizza oven, grazing tables, a scrumptious dessert table (strongly recommended if you have a sweet tooth) or you might be looking for something that we haven't quite thought of yet! We are all ears for your favourites. And naturally we are happy to ensure any vegetarians, vegans or gluten free guests are served a delicious meal too.
Do you have pretty gardens?
It's a resounding yes! We have a terrace reserved just for you, lawns, a circular rose garden with sunken lily pond, parterres, a Saxo moat with wisteria draped Japanese bridge, a lake, grassed amphitheatre and the end of an avenue of lime trees and endless little nooks and crannies hidden away for you to discover - an absolute plethora of photographic opportunities!
Is the whole family welcome?
Definitely! We welcome children and even the family dog (small or medium sized please) and are happy to offer teepees for children to sleep in and dog beds for the furry members of the family.
Are we allowed music?
No wedding would be complete without music in our humble opinion. Whether that's a string quartet or singer during your ceremony or drinks reception or a DJ or Band to get the party going later on. After a meal in the Tithe Barn we encourage you to hold your evening party in the Orangery where you can choose a band or DJ and carry the party on smoothly with no interruptions or moving of tables required.
