Gemma is reliable, creative, and extremely professional. She did my wedding hair and makeup and was great at coming up with ideas and working with my suggestions. I was thrilled with the results. She is clearly very experienced and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a first-class makeup artist.

I feel extremely grateful that I found Gemma Booking & Trial: Gemma was really quick to respond to me and answer questions that I had. Really quickly we booked a trial. I chose to come to Gemma for a trial, on my way I got hungry (I was 8 weeks pregnant) and Gemma offered to make some food for me, but I decided to order takeaway. She started with makeup but then switched to hair when the food arrived so that I could eat without worrying. I was very happy with my trial hair & makeup, but we ended up doing everything completely different on the day. 1st wedding: We were sure that we wouldn’t be able to get officially married on our wedding day due to Brexit and mix-up with our “notice to marry” so we planned to have a very relaxed day. Gemma was supposed to do hair & makeup for myself, my mother, and my sister-in-law as well as just hair for my best friend. There was no other stylist booked, so Gemma was supposed to come to us and start around 8 (if I remember correctly) and finish around 1. On the day of the wedding, we found out that our notice was approved and we could get married officially! Which meant a complete change of plans! This meant that Gemma only had 1 hour to do my hair and makeup, and she was very successful! Of course, that meant that she had to do something completely different to what we did on trial. She was also happy to stay at home and wait for us to come back from the ceremony so that she could touch me up and finish everyone else’s hair and makeup. 2nd wedding: Our second wedding was a Hindu wedding, Gemma freestyled and I was really happy with the result!

I cannot recommend Gemma highly enough. Throughout the whole process, she was calm, friendly, and just lovely. Gemma was very accommodating and I didn’t feel ‘caked’ in make-up (my main fear!) and I became a complete convert to false eyelashes!! She has the ability to make you feel amazing and yet look so natural. She is just brilliant. Make sure she’s the first thing you book!!!

Gemma is exactly the person you want around on the morning of your wedding. Her calm, confident, and professional attitude made me feel completely at ease and allowed me to really enjoy getting ready with my bridesmaids. I had no idea what I wanted for my hair and makeup, but Gemma helped me find a style that suited me, and that I felt comfortable with – I was still keen to look like myself on my wedding day! I felt fantastic on the day, and looking back through my wedding photos, I couldn’t be happier
