My fee is £650 unless you have a wedding of under 20 people and then it's £500. My fee includes an initial 'get to know you' meeting and then a full wedding planning meeting either face to face or remotely, whatever suits you best! During this meeting, I'd gather all the information I need to write your bespoke wedding ceremony! We'd have ongoing communication via email/telephone call and/or message to ensure you are entirely happy with your wedding script before the day! I would write and deliver your entirely bespoke ceremony for you, which might include symbolic elements such as; hand fasting, unity candle, sand ceremony, ring warming or whatever is personal to you! If required, I can help with writing your vows and commitments and I'm happy to provide suggestions for readings or poems if you'd like to include them. I'd also provide you with a copy of your unique script as a keepsake along with a certificate to sign and keep. If required, I'd attend your wedding rehearsal so that we can ensure everything runs smoothly on the day! I am happy to travel within 100 miles of Bournemouth.

Prior to becoming a wedding celebrant, I qualified and worked as a therapist for over 20 years, which required me to quickly build rapport and trust with my clients, identify key issues, provide support and advice on the way forward and keep focused on the end goal. These skills have enabled me to perfectly transition into the role of celebrant! At the moment, celebrant led weddings are not legally binding in the UK, which means you will have to pop along to your local registry office to do the legal bits! You need to give notice at the registry office in the district that you live at least 28 days prior to your legal ceremony. When you give notice, you need to take along 1 form of ID such as passport or birth certificate, 1 form of address confirmation such as a utility bill or bank statement. If you've been previously married, you'll need to take along your decree absolute, if you're widowed, you'll need to take along the death certificate, and if you've changed your name for any reason, you'll need to provide your change of name document. Currently giving notice costs £35 each. The actual legal ceremony takes about 15-20 minutes and costs somewhere between £46 and £60 depending upon where you live. Along with yourselves, you need to have 2 witnesses. Most people have their legal ceremony in the week leading up to their wedding celebration. The celebration day is where your celebrant will conduct your entirely personalised ceremony, with a script written especially for you, including all the elements which make your day special to you!
