Do you take more than one wedding per week?

To provide the attention to detail and level of service required for your special celebrations, Hay Castle only commits to one wedding per week.

Can we bring our own food?

Epicure Events is Hay Castle’s in-house caterer and so we do not allow outside catering. We do allow chocolate fountains, ‘cheese’ cakes, candy carts and wedding favours.

What if we want a specific menu?

We are very flexible with our menus and are always delighted to discuss your individual ideas.

Do you offer Corkage?

Yes, corkage for wine, prosecco and Champagne bottles can be quoted by Epicure Events. Corkage on soft drinks, beer, cider and spirits is not available.

Is throwing confetti permitted?

Yes, so long as it is natural or biodegradable confetti.

Do you allow candles on the tables?

Yes, we permit the use of candles throughout the venue. Please ensure that they are placed in suitable containers.

What table linen does Hay Castle provide?

You and your guests will be dining on rustic wooden trestle tables, which do not require table cloths. A large choice of colours for napkins will be available. Hire of napkins, tables and chairs plus crockery, cutlery and glassware will form part of Epicure’s catering quote.

Do you have on-site parking?

Due to the nature of the site, there is no parking at Hay Castle. We have a disabled parking bay to the rear of the venue and will gladly make arrangements for guests with mobility issues. We also have an area for unloading wedding deliveries such as alcohol on corkage, wedding favours or props. There is a large council run car park directly opposite Hay Castle on Oxford Road.

Is Hay castle wheelchair accessible?

Hay Castle is fully accessible. Please let us know where assistance is required and we will help with arrangements. Unfortunately our lift doesn’t provide access to the Norman Tower cellar.

Are our pets welcome as part of our day?

Should you wish for your four legged friends to be part of your special day, Hay Castle gladly welcomes the furry members of your family too!
