Why do I need a wedding planner?

On average, it takes 250 hours to plan a wedding… I know, it’s a LOT! So it goes without saying that hiring me will save you a lot of time. But something just as valuable in my opinion is that I’ll make the process enjoyable and stress free. I can help with the organisational side of things, the creative design side, the admin, or all of the above. I can take ownership of the jobs you’d rather not do and guide you through every step of the planning process. When you consider that you’ll probably be planning for at least a year, I think it’s pretty important that you’re not stressed out or overwhelmed the whole time. Even better, imagine actually having fun with it?! The focus is very much on the ‘big day’ so it’s easy to overlook what an incredible experience planning it together can be!

What will working with you entail?

My approach very much revolves around you. I’ll start by getting to you know you as a couple. I’ll take the time to find out your likes and dislikes, your personality and passions, so that I can get a feel of what works for you and your style . Depending on which service you opt for, I’ll then begin on searching for a perfect venue. Whether that be a manor house, stately home, or barn, I will put together a shortlist of the venues I think suit you. Once the venue is confirmed, I’ll create moodboards and look-books containing all the things that bring a wedding to life and makes it unique to you. From colour palettes to décor and styling, we will use this to create your brief which we can show to suppliers to start making your dream a reality. I’ll be with you every step of the way. In advance of the day, I’ll be creating schedules, timelines, liaising with the suppliers, keeping the planning on track. On the day, I’ll be there to manage everything: from set up to co-ordinating suppliers, I’ll ensure everything runs smoothly so that you can savour your vision as it comes together in front of your eyes.

How many weddings do you take on each year?

To provide you with a dedicated, highly personal service, I take on just a handful of full service weddings each year - it’s worth getting in touch as soon as you possible if you’d like to work with me.

Do you travel?

I'm based on the edge of the Cotswolds but I cover the whole of the UK.

Where to start! We hired Jen to manage our wedding weekend but, all I can say is, she did SO much more than that! I first found Jen via her website and was instantly drawn to her impeccable and professional aesthetic, which it turns out was matched in person. I knew the minute we met, that her lovely and calm nature would compliment me (quite the opposite) and that her attention to detail would match my very particular ways perfectly! From then on, Jen was the support network I never knew I needed - schedules, suggestions, ideas and advice were all things Jen gave me in abundance, whenever I needed it. She really was the last piece of the puzzle that brought everything together in those final months, and not to mention the fun we had at the venue, making sure the vision would come to life down to the very last detail. Then there was the weekend itself - five days actually, including set-up - of non-stop grind and team work. From table linen sagas to late-night final meetings (severely lacking in sleep) to the management of many, many different suppliers and logistics on the day itself, all of which was handled seamlessly without us noticing any of it. That’s testament to Jen and her team for their dedication to the cause and hard work, which knows no bounds. We can honestly say that we couldn’t have done any of it without you. We had the best time working with you all and I’ll look back on the “behind the scenes” stuff as fondly as the wedding itself, because we were lucky enough to do it in the great company of you guys. I contacted Jen at quite a short notice (around 12 weeks before our wedding) looking for some help with styling and on the day co-ordination. Jen put me at ease instantly and I knew straight away that I could trust her to make everything come together as she asked all the right questions and it was clear she had tonnes of industry knowledge. She went above and beyond for us in the lead up to our wedding, meeting us at the venue, sourcing all the equipment and just being there when we had plenty of questions. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she had such a fantastic, hardworking and no fuss approach. This meant that we could really enjoy the planning and lead up to the big day without stressing that everything was in hand. On the day itself Jen and Sam were out of this world amazing! They seemed to be in about a million different places at once but were so subtle and barely noticed by all guests! They made the day totally stress free for us. We didn't have to worry about a single thing as they were on top of it all before we could even think of something that needed doing. We still can't believe how hard they worked, even staying later than planned and coming back a couple of days later to collect things.
