Happy new year! There's only one way to start off 2023 and it's with epic wedding inspiration. Starting with Ashleigh's bespoke Phillipa Lepley applique wedding dress! Just beautiful! Plus, with Recommended suppliers, Harry Michael Photography, capturing the day and Jennifer Louise Weddings planning it, you know it's going to be amazing. Ashleigh & Dan opted for an English country garden wedding at Ashleigh's family home with a stunning glass marquee reception. The couple also had a four-tier wedding cake from Recommended supplier, Terre et Lune Cake Design, and used Recommended supplier, The Wedding Shop, for their gift list.

Don’t sweat the small stuff, if things go wrong - and they will - you won’t even realise as you’ll be too busy enjoying the day! Also, get a Jennifer (our planner), she made all our ideas and wants possible and pulled it all together in the most seamless, magical way.
Phillipa Lepley Applique Dress
Ashleigh's dress was a bespoke Phillipa Lepley dress that took over ten fittings to get perfect! Walking down the aisle in her applique gown and seeing all their loved ones was such a special feeling for Ashleigh! Especially as she did it to a string quartet playing 'Wildest Dreams' by Taylor Swift. Another favourite moment was just after the first dance. Dan isn’t a keen dancer but the couple went to lessons for six months and pulled it off. The roaring cheers of their friends and family made it all worth it. Ashleigh’s mum did a reading during the outdoor ceremony, which encapsulated the couple's reasons for marriage. She read Union by Robert Fulghum, taken from the book, From Beginning to End: The Rituals of Our Lives.
Glass Marquee
The most special thing about Ashleigh & Dan's wedding day was having it at Ashleigh’s family home - no one has had a wedding there before which made it unique! The overall vibe they wanted was an enchanted English country garden wedding. The couple wanted to incorporate as much of the garden as possible into the day with an outdoor ceremony, and a gorgeous glass marquee to let in all of the natural light. They decorated the marquee with chandelier installations. Recommended supplier, Virginia's Vintage Hire provided the tables and the fire pit. It made for the perfect venue with Recommended supplier, Sensation Band (a 14-piece band), playing for a big party in the evening!
Blue Flower Bridesmaid Dresses
The blue flower bridesmaid dresses are so unique and make the perfect choice for a gorgeous outdoor summer ceremony. Ashleigh & Dan tried to include special and unique moments all throughout their day. They had his & her cocktails, an epic champagne tower, and Dan's brother supplied the wine from his restaurant. To celebrate their hometowns, they had tables named after their favourite mountain range in South Africa and pinch pots for their wedding favours, which were brought over by a friend in South Africa who handmade them!
Want to bring the outside in? A glass marquee is such a good way to do so!
Jennifer Louise, our planner, was a tremendous help with finding suppliers - as we were at home, everything had to be supplied externally, from generators to porta-loos! We also used Rock My Wedding and The National Wedding Industry Awards to get inspiration.
