FAQS
Do you work with all skin types?
Having worked as a professional makeup artist and hairstylist for seven years, I take great pride in my ability to confidently work with individuals of every skin tone. I've worked on clients with very pale complexions through to those with much deeper skin tones. For me, all faces are a wonderful canvas!
What brands do you use in your kit?
I use a wide range of luxury high-end products in my kit to suit the needs of different individuals. Brands include Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Inglot, Laura Mercier, Illamasqua, Dior and Urban Decay. My hair kit includes brands such as L’oreal Pro, Schwarzkopf Professional, and Bed Head by Tigi. All my products have been hand picked for their performance power and longevity. I will use different products depending on skin type, hair type and the kind of look you want to achieve.
I have a large bridal party, will you manage to get everyone ready?
The amount of hair and makeup services I am able to do on the wedding day will depend on how much time is available on the day, how early you want to start and what time you all need to be ready. I am very used to early starts but understand that not everyone wants to be up at the crack of dawn on their wedding day! Should you wish to have a later start or you have too many bridal party members for me to manage on my own, I can bring along an additional artist to help share the wedding day services (any additional charges will be confirmed in your quote).
How far do you travel?
I am based in South Croydon, London and cater to the local area as well as Central and Greater London, Surrey, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Kent, and Sussex. I am of course happy to travel wherever I am needed including destination weddings. For journeys that require more than a 2-hour drive overnight accommodation may need to be provided the night before. Please be aware that additional charges may apply for mileage, parking, congestion charges and larger bridal parties where an additional artist is needed (any fess will be stipulated on your quote).
Do I need to have a bridal trial before my wedding day?
Bridal trials are extremely important and worth having even if you are set on a particular idea for your wedding day. The trial provides the opportunity to try out the look you have in mind and ensures that you feel comfortable with what you’ve chosen. We can discuss the look you want and make adjustments and tweaks so that it works for you. The trial will probably be the first opportunity for us to meet and means you will have a familiar face there on the wedding day itself, not just someone you have only read about online. Having the chance to get to know each other means you will feel completely comfortable and relaxed on the big day! It also gives me a chance to get to know your hair and skin type and how best to achieve the look you’re aiming for.
